AR-15 is a glorified pistol

Mr. Reasonable should totally hook me up with some guns if he has too many. It’s a real struggle to buy black market all the time.

Speaking of knives, you can’t go wrong with a nice Bowie knife.

“That’s not a knife, now this right here is a knife.”

Even more interesting if a sniper shot at that bomb attached to his hip. Talk about a real bloody gusher…

That was an old school grenade launcher experimental prototype I think of that picture you posted above.

Most grenade projectiles especially for rifles look like this nowadays.

Ain’t never seen those anywhere in the US military, are we getting them supposedly from Slovakia?

I’m gonna post a thread on a new smart bullet idea here soonthat I had figured out yesterday, building off this thread. I just got back from a long walk, don’t want to do it right now.

Not all at the same time. I’m saying that I’ve bought and sold so many over the years that I must have owned 100 different ones at least.

Man I know the .556 isn’t known for it’s knockdown power, as most of them run bullets that are under 70 grains if I’m not mistaken. But the velocity is what’s going to make that body armor pointless. The shit they’re issuing to cops isn’t going to stop a fucking thing that’s moving around 3000fps and probably hardball surplus ammo. They’d get shredded in an instant. I shot a .45auto once into a kevlar vest that some cops were shooting at at a local range once, and their .40s and 9mms were just bouncing off it. Then when I shot my 230 grain +p cor-bon at it it just went straight through like a hole punch and mushroomed out to about an inch or so wide and was sitting under the thing on the ground after knocking the vest 15-20 yards downrange from where they had it strung up. The biggest feature of body armor is the false sense of security that it instills in the wearer.

The body armor cops get is mostly just for pistols, with a small plate at the center. And contrary to news reports, you can get grade 3 body armor, even grade 4, on the open market, this guy just didn’t know what he was doing.

But rushing a place has nothing to do with body armor, though it would be admittedly nice to have. In MOUT, the offensive still has the power of shock and surprise if properly executed and coordinated. It took the Orlando Police 3 hours to develop a hairbrained plan, when all it needed was a Pincher movement from two sides. Rush of casualties? Yes, but your odds are, against someone not very used to playing defence and knowing the nuances and absurdities that arise in group thinking in attacking, it is spontaneous, overwhelming, and occurs quicker than you can think, even when you know it is coming right through that door. When in doubt, stack a few guys up in a line when you storm.

If you watch videos of army guys assaulting buildings, what do you see? If it is some mech unit, 10, 20, 30 guts living like a retarded centipede towards a door, some pointing their guns at windows or roofs as they move, others down the street, some the house they are moving towards to or lining up against. One guy kicks open a door while another stands in front of it, and the third guy back enters first… then fouth, fifth… they go pouring in, each has a wall they run down, shooting and clearing, jumping over furniture… a gunman indoors knows they are coming in, but aren’t prepared for the intensity, and the fire coming in on them. They go to shoot at the door, might get one or two shots in, bit you already got guys crawling the walls at this point, and if your still resisting, your dead.

If you see better quality troops, like the Airborne or Rangers, it is much smaller centipedes, between 4-9 guys moving towards a house, everyone with a dedicated direction of fire. They clear the rooms just as fastly, but are more segmented outside to cover more area and reduce sniper, ambush, or explosive attacks from being completely catastrophic.

You go higher into special forces, it’s just a guy or two crawling into windows doing everything wrong in terms of doctrine. Confidence and surprise matters more to them, they do that shit in a daily basis, have seen all sorts of silly stuff happen, and know to exploit expectations.

Police officers may not be Delta Force, but they shouldn’t stand around like a bunch of clueless mech guts either. You only negotiate and ask for demands from someone who has NOT massacred yet. The reason police storm buildings in hostage situations is when they start massacring people. Omar had already done that. You don’t let somebody like that hang out with more possible victims. Will he kill more people if you try to storm? Likely, but he was killing people prior to you shoeing up, shows a very low regard for himan life, unlikely to let the wounded leave or a medic enter, and any meduc entering has to have some fucking balls.

No… you just storm the fucking place. No need to think about it, if you got two cops, one front, one back. If you got four, two front, two back, increasing like that. If he starts firing at you, fire back, or take cover… or better, both. If you die, your buddy on the otherside is certain to kill the SOB too. You just saved lives.

That is all there is to it. You dont wait around for swat to show up. You dont do tactical diversions as holes are punched through walls three hours later… lots of people undoubtedly bled to death in that time period. You just go in as soon as you show up, enter with determination, and shoot the SOB until he is dead or surrendered.

Body armor be damned, do it naked if you gotta.

GLADIATOR TACTICAL UNMANNED GROUND VEHICLE

This is the only pic I can find with infantry support of this otherwise silly device… most images is of it going Rambo on it’s own. A very silly and simple gadget to defeat, just lay behind a rock or in a ditch along it’s path, and wack the back gears of its track with a large rock or sledge hammer. It can defeat anything except… infantry in the prone position on the ground, which is the firing position every soldier on the planet first learns to shoot from… can’t shoot downwards, unless it is far away. Kinda a silly design flaw.

Second I see this thing, and note the direction every barrel is pointed at elevation wise, I’m hitting the ground. Undoubtedly good sensors, so concealment behind a bush is pointless… just crawl forward, fuck it up. Don’t let it back up… be a funny battle of a guy on all fours charging a robot driving backwards trying to get a shot. Hear it cry out “Hey you guys, this isn’t fair!”

Yeah… you can now shoot grenades at a mile and a half away. It is about fucking time.

Honestly, like… this really does put light infantry back into the game over aircraft… a ambush… of explosive grenades, at night on enemy troops from over a mile away? Charge!.. kablowie… over and over and over and over again, till you get within normal firing rang of bullets… exhausted from running over a mile…

Grenade Sniper. I totally would understand the desire to ban something like this to the public.
