Sauwelios was telling me just now about this forums Archives, and how some posts aren’t directly accessible anymore through “your posts”. I looked at the Archives forum but could not find any of anyones old posts, just Religious Open and Forum Adjustments.
So what’s up with this? How does it work? Are all our posts saved? And did Impenitents posts get deleted?
The reason for this post is that the topic of internet history came up twice in a couple of minutes. First I was talking to Insightfoul about how the forum I did with Gobbo got deleted (though Gobbo did save the complete forum file I cant get hold of him and don’t really care to) and then I was on the phone with Sauwelios, who told me that he was rereading his old posts so as to not let them get completely lost when / if this site would happen to stop existing. I asked why he did not save them to his harddrive which is what I’ve been doing since I started consistently making sense to myself. I think he should save his posts and spread the best ones around on the internet actually. If I’m thinking in terms of affectance, valuing and will to power, it’s better to post one excellent post 10 times on different forums with different types of readers than to post 10 posts here of which one is excellent.
That aside, I was wondering about this forums Archives, and would like to know if they are accessible. What is the criterium for archiving a post or keeping it in the active loop?
