Absolutely not. Out of all the religions you could sign a blasphemy law for, you sign it for the religion of “peace”.
Indeed… it should be inclusive of all religions, so as to maintain a religious parity for all denominations.
Here, in the UK, the newly-elected Leftist government are using any issue as an excuse to implement their authoritarian measures and their two-tier governance and policing… the opposition parties are collectively holding them to account due to this, and thinking of/can/will impeach him or force him to resign due to the mess that he has already made of the country, in only 8 weeks in of the State Opening of the new Parliament.

There is nothing like the criticism of converts. Whether apostates or people who have given up smoking, their criticism of people doing what they formerly did is often over the top and exaggerated. So too the criticism of “leftists” (whatever that is) over-simplifies an issue and ignores the complex issues at hand.
It is really the call for a homogenous society in which everybody follows blindly a “truth” and dissent or diversity is not accepted. It is also an ignorance of real injustice and existential problems that people face, and allows the rich to extract billions from the country.
The only problem I have found with left leaning people is that they tend to split into ever smaller factions, and end up making the “evil” they are opposing possible, because they can’t agree on anything.

So here’s what has happened. The violent and aggressive imperial nature that Christianity once had no longer exists becuz it has achieved an ideological hegemony in the west, which it still holds… so it no longer needs to terrorize like it once did. Islam, on the other hand, has not been as successful. The middle east hasn’t experienced the massive industrialization and modernization that the west has, so in order to sustain its power, it has to ‘terrorize’ and antagonize like christianity did before it succeeded in the modern era.
Islam is now doing what christianity used to do, in other words. That’s the grand irony.
