PHYSICS BECOMES PHILOSOPHY BECOMES ART. IS THIS THE FUTURE ?
I know you all probably heard and know inside out all the music referenced in the following music databases. But just in case there is something that you missed check them all out again.
And if all those are all very well known, that is you all know all the tracks and albums referenced in those databases inside out, then just invent your own music and put it on soundclick or purevolume or garageband or cdbaby …
Nice try old. I like music databases also, but even though the ones you listed are huge, make no mistake, there will always be alot of music left out. Music production worldwide is truly too massive to ever be able to include everything in databases.
But I like the attempt. Then you must conside that most of those sites reference the " BIG 6 " language - cultural regions : namely ENGLISH, SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN and offshoots (dutch, swedish etc.) AKA the western world meaning mostly ALL WESTERN EUROPE (and parts of east europe), all of the Americas (NORTH - SOUTH AMERICA ), JAPAN, KOREA and some AFRICA.
Anyways if you include India, China, middle east etc. you will surely get a total of maybe more than a million other artists not included in any databases. Also many artists just make what are known as “private pressings” of just a few hundred copies, sometimes casettes or CDRs etc.
Also many groups never record anything but do play original music or just stayed together for a year or so, etc.
Music is too unstructured to have it all in one database. Too many variations and odd details for every album, release or track or band etc.
Then some database sites go offline and disappear, others pop up out of nowhere.
but in the end your best bet is simply google.com .
Just consider that the same bands sometimes use multiple names, many are cover bands, many are oddball compilation creations, others are soundtracks, it is way too complex and never ends …
But they probably don’t have more than gemm or musicstack
or netsoundsmusic …
The sites like apple or aol are commercial sites so they will try to increase their selection, as in fact in the web 2.0 economy the more different items you have the more money you can make which is the opposite of brick and mortar.
