art, science and religion of the future.

Lets assume that in the furture(maybe the next 200 years) a global culture starts to emerge due to more communication and immigration on a global scale. How could we invision this? what could be the effects on culture, science, religion and art?

I’m looking for optimistic rather than realistic answeres here. So could you pait a picture of how human civilisation could grow into something where as well as the great technolgical advances of modern times we see advances in our understanding of culture and civilisation. Could we understand the social and econmic sciences aswell as we understand the physical worlds to change humanity into something truely great? Let your imaginations run wild here. what is it that WE humanity should be aiming for?

ps
the questions are open to interpretation.

pss

but im hoping for the brainstoming of ideas not arguments in any replies.

Honesty is a good start…

So, what you are looking for is fantasy? Like the evolution of talking flying unicorns? Rather than the ‘probable’?

(It is said that ‘optimism’ stems from fear…)

OK, heres your fantasy answer… everyone lives happily after.

thats hardly very descriptive. My question is what would make people happy? what kind of world would make you happy?

I’m not saying we should be optimistic or pesimestic…obviously i think we should be realistic.

I’m just asking what is the optimum? Obviously probable visions of the future are more useful than improbable ones.

I’m asking you a question. I’m not trying to but across any view.

Optimistic (to my personal preferences) future in 200 years.

World population reduced to 1/10 or less of current level. It can be 1/100 or even 1/1000.
Remaining fanatic Arabs and Jews and Americans, or anyone who loves to fanatically fight/kill, have fought/killed each other, happily leaving less fanatic population.
Children introduced and guided in pain management, human nature and body/emotion/mind construction, systematically and thoroughly.
No more religion nor fear tactics affecting population by most people clearly seeing the stupidity in these.
Less laws and lawyers, damn journalists, drugs and drug manufactures/dealers.
Suicide, Nudity, Sex allowed even in public.
Contacts with beings from other planets and/or other dimensions of many kinds including stupid one and evil one.
Any “supernatural” things considered as natural and ordinary (but sometime rare).
No more communism, capitalism, democracy.
Government employees and officials required to take and pass public exams in rational thinking ability, emotional stability/capacity, and sexual satisfaction level.

Unfortunately (for me), I don’t think it will happen.

A global city. A Babel.

Well even with today’s population that would feet in an area as large as Texas with a density that of Paris.

200 years from now, our genetic engineering will make us look like a glowing Archon of the protoss. Haha.

Perhaps your question was so broad, asking the scientific, religious and artistic differences in about 200 years (and then requesting fantasy, sci-fi…!). There are many volumes of such literature, and there isn’t the space here for a very well thought out response. And it sounded like you wanted to take a trip down the warm fuzzy road of fantasy. But, I’m here, so I’ll share what info I have. I know some of what the world is like in 245 years.

There is no consensus on happiness. It is as individual as an itch. Absolutely subjective. The question is what makes YOU happy? The answer is different for us all. That which would make a Nazi ‘happy’ will not necessarily do the same for a Jew. Capisce’?

I am happy in this world. The one (world) that is mine in its moment. Every moment is a different world, one might be happy at that moment and other moments sad, or lonely, or angry, or whatever other feelings are manifesting at that particular moment. No one is ‘happy’ all the time, being human is mush deeper and richer than that stilted concept of being ‘happy’ all the time smileyface…
When I am ‘happy’, the world that I am part of (One with) is happy too. The world doesn’t make me happy, I make it happy! Actually, of course, my state of happiness and the arising of the happy world of the moment is a simultaneous/synchronous arising. There is no linear ‘cause and effect’! Understand?
That is the meaning behind the saying that, “We do not see the world as it is, but we see it as we are!”

So, like a glimpse?
For one, there is no longer the ugly egoic fantasy of ‘free-will/choice’. The notion of ‘cause and effect’ is already obsolete and will be nothing more than a side-note in history class. The stuff of nightmares.
What ‘dies’ with these obsolete and dangerous fantasies is revenge (our present ‘justice’ industry has been based on revenge), blame, punishment, guilt, for just a few; to be replaced with healing with compassion, and acceptance of our fellows as we are. Try to imagine some of the ramifications of what I am saying. There will be an entirely new world-view, a golden age of Consciousness!

The Oneness of All will be taught in school. The mystics have known this for millennia, and science (physics) is now learning and supporting this (especially since quantum physics is discovering Consciousness)!
If all are ‘Self’ are One and we understand this experientially, how can we commit an act of violence against ‘self’? Rob oneself? Burglerize oneself? Let oneself starve or bleed? Absurd! All are ‘Self’!

Yes, the world has never seen a Golden Age of Consciousness as will be in about 245 years. You and I can help prepare for what is comming… be part of the new world as opposed to the hoards appointed to guard the ‘past’. They will all die off, and the properly educated children will carry on… it’ll take a couple of centuries for the process to sweep the globe (but its already a done deal).
No ‘fantasy’.

Oops, almost forgot. No religion. The ‘belief virus’ will have been eradicated. With no ‘beliefs’ in ‘freedom’, ‘free-will’, a particular ‘god’, wealth, or whatever, there will be nothing to kill and die for…
Hmm, I like this new world…
