So, who will get caught first? The Securitas robbers who made off with 30-70 million pounds (how do they not know how much has been stolen!!!) or this armed gang who stole the art? I reckon it’ll be the Securitas robbers if only because they’re more likely to have left traces, told people and so on whereas the art was in all likelihood stolen to order and already sits in a private collection in Hong Kong or somewhere…
A grenade? not likely to have been really used, probably a dud, my guess the head security guard, plus others, maybe, were in on it. No art thief would jeopordize the very thing that is going to make them money. It does not make sense. Mugging the people does not make sense either unless it was done as a distraction. Or someone decided to get cocky and stupid.
There are always ways to steal art safely and without evidence or witnesses. A professional knows these ways. The gang has seperated and flown to different countries by now and possibly shipped the paintings by UPS or FEDEX. Overnight mail. Quick and safe. Time the shipping right and no over examining either. The only way that it could screw up is if they shipped the paintings in tubes. A long box would be best or flat box hiding the paintings in rugs with backings on them or something like that.
Sad about the Monet being stolen thats one artist I like, I really don’t care for the others that were stolen.
