Obama’s just Biden his time until he’s actually old enough to be elected.
Actually Biden is a good choice. The choice for Vice president rarely helps a candidate but it can really
hurt one. biden has run before and is well tested in running a campaign. Personally, I hope Mccain picks
some right wing nutjob such as Huckabee. Rumor is Mccain might go for Mit “Flip Flop” Romney.
The convention hopefully will be boring as hell and that would be a good thing.

A white guy … surely he couldn’t have picked better, right???
A typical white person, actually.
Sweet one dimensional evaluation. White equals white equals white, right? No difference between Lincoln and Bush? What is a “typical white person”?
It’s not that one-dimensional. I don’t see how he could’ve even had a chance in hell to win without a white person behind him – a white guy for that matter.
He made the right move if he wants to win. I was just not surprised after-the-fact.
(I still don’t know who I’m going to vote for, if either of them.)
(I’m not a fan of the two-way status quo.)
Before Reagan selected the senior Bush as his running mate, Bush derided Reagan’s plan as “voodoo economics.” It didn’t prevent Reagan from getting elected or damage his administration appreciably.
According to conservative columnist David Brooks, Biden brings working-class roots, pride, and an unpretentious manner. He could be a bridge to working-class voters. Biden is honest, direct, and loyal. Those are qualities any president needs in a VP. He also brings intelligence and plenty of foreign policy expertise. Obama made a wise choice.
I tried to find the rest of the 2005 segment from the Daily Show, to see what Biden says next (he starts to explain himself, but the video ends). My search wasn’t successful, but I did find a video from 2007, from the day Biden announced his bid for the presidency. He has nothing but good things to say about Obama (and explains the “clean and articulate” comments), and his policies are pretty close to what Obama himself advocates.
Carleas,
Why check it out? It’s much easier to just spout the left or right jingoist clap trap.
You’re advocating actual thinking! Dangerous stuff, that. ![]()
there is no “rest” of the quote. biden said he’d run with mc cain and when questioned by stewart, biden said running WITH mc cain is what he meant.

Imp, he’s clearly cut off in mid sentence. I didn’t miss the soundbyte statement that he would run with McCain, but knowing why is important.
Personally, why a candidate makes decisions is more important that any individual decision.
I had to feel for Michelle Obama last night. I watched her speech. I don’t think she was happy with it. They had the camera on her mom part of the time, Momma was not happy. Michelle clearly had to memorize the speech , she was way too plastic and stiff, that is unlike her usual self. She did not seem to put much belief into it. Made me wonder about the folks that were pushing her. I do believe they may have a tiger by the tail if they push that woman too far. After the speech She had a look in her eyes that seemed to be pure anger and stress. Not a happy camper that one. I do believe Obama is gonna get an earful from his lady.
