To attempt to give an answer to your question. Basically, Satanist have no real affliation with the being known to cristianity known as Satan.
As far as I know, it mostly has to do with telling people to get the hell off your lawn- which is probably why they choose a scarey name. Maybe my ignorance will provoke someone to give answers. Although when in doubt Google.
There are 2 types of Satanism. Those who worship Satan the diety and those who use Satan as a symbol for rebellion. The latter belong to the Church of Satan and they are not very nice people. One of the Satanic Statements say thou shalt not harm little children, which basically gives the aggressor the right to judge what they deam little when choosing who to harm.
No, it’s not thou shalt not…
It is:
Do not harm little children.
This is rule #9 of the eleven Satanic rules of the earth.
And all children are considered ‘sacred’ are revered in Satanism, for the natural magicians that they are. Not just little ones.
Also, there is only one type of Satanism. Devil worshippers are not Satanists, they are inverted christians.
There is a world of difference.
And you are correct, Uname…how can something be ‘un-natural’ and at the same time exist within nature? <–rhetorical question.
You’re an idiot. Is this the extent of your life loser? Coming onto message boards accusing people of being child molestors? Oooh big man here. Do yourself a favor and get a life.
No, my big thrill is pointing out moral hypocrisy.
As Dr. S can attest, I can be more dogmatic then any Christian.
And though he will not attest to this, I can be immensely more reasonable then any Christian.
And so, while I haven’t heard of what Satanists do to little kids, I have heard alot about what some Catholic Priests do.
It isn’t the name of the religion that makes the acts within immoral, it is the acts themselves.
And peeps who perform immoral acts are immoral, regardless of what religion they claim. Thus while you tell me to get a life, do so ignore how you should live yours.
Oh you are really pointing out moral hypocrisy by indirectly calling me a child molestor because I am a Christian. Like I said you’re an idiot and your dumb statement makes no logical sense.
There is no moral hypocrisy in any religion unless you break the laws of the religion. Try reading the definition of hypocrite sometime. If someone does something that is breaking the law of their religion in this case Christianity then they are being unChristian and thus not of the religion. By your same wonderful logic all white people should be considered racists because of the KKK and all black people should be racists because of the Black Panthers.
There is no hypocrisy in a religion or the people who follow it. Only in those who willingly break the law and damage someone else in the process. But people like you who think you are so far beyond the primitive religious people of the world who makes blanket stupid judgements on the hypocrisy of a whole religion when you completely lack logic and haven’t a clue as to what you are actually saying should just keep your mouth shut in the first place. Instead of telling us all about the hypocrisy of religion why don’t you tell us about the hypocrisy of your own actions. Oh wait you choose to avoid having to be accountable for any morality at all so I guess you can’t be a hypocrite because you live in a world of moral relativism. Talk about a true crutch. Must be wonderful going through life pointing out everyone elses so called hypocrisies from your high amoral pedestal.
You think you are so smart and wise but you will find out on your deathbed one day that you were nothing more than a dumb fool.
Actually, I didn’t call you anything. If you felt guilty about something maybe that means something, and maybe it doesn’t.
Well gee whiz by gollikers, who woulda thunk that? I am not speaking of religous morality. What is right is right beyond any religous convention you might care to name. So I really don’t need you to argue whether pedophile priests are truly christian or not or truly bad or not, I already know the answer.
Where is Dr. S when I need him to yell about logical fallacies? I don’t consider all christians hypocrites, merely the ones who act morally superior to other religous beliefs. Because, in order for Christ’s death to have meaning, we must all be fallen creatures. Instead of redemption through reason, many Christians believe that they can arrive at redemption through Faith. regardless, if we are all of a fallen nature, NONE of us are morally perfect. And if NONE of us are morally perfect, then we all shall, at some time, break the moral dictates of our faith. Thus every human being is a hypocrite. Even the Truly truly true Christian ones.
No doubt you will continue to blabber about true christianity so on and so forth and still take offense when I point out that practicing Christians still do wretched things and that children should feel safe because you are not a Catholic priest. If you inferred something and got angry over it, maybe you question your faith or something.
I am a moral relativist now? Heh Actually I believe true morality is approached through pure human reasoning. Ultimately we cannot reach it, because being absolute (gasp) we finite beings can never fully grasp it. In all honesty, I think that what is absolutely true IS true beyond what any God may say, because God said one day X is wrong, and then the next day God says X is right, then, by the standards of simple human reasoning, God hath contradicted himself. But you are a logician, so you understand what contradictions mean…
Frankly, what I am doing here is putting on a show for Dr. S. I am hoping that, through this lesson, he can see quite clearly that there is some innate value in moral judgements, even if he supposes such value to be unique to each individual, clearly… some values are “better” than others. And if he picks up on this, maybe he might wonder what makes some judgements “better” then others. And maybe if he starts looking down that road he might consider things differently. But if not, well at least I tried. Maybe I should demonstrate the same for you, but since you are directly involved you will find anything i say suspect. You will attempt to attack and tear it apart, perhaps not even realizing that some of what you attack is what you supposedly believe is morally right.
Did I act wrongly? No, as I don’t consider verbal sparring as being absolutely wrong. I don’t consider verbal insults absolutely wrong either. Probably bad manners, but not morally wrong.
Sorry if this confuses you.
However, if I may presume that you are a Christian, might I ask when, exactly is it you plan on forgiving me and what not after you tire of calling me a fool, an idiot, etc. Maybe true Christians are allowed to insult folks when they point out that Catholic Priests have done rotten things.
As an agnostic I must wonder if I keep it up will you your God punish you fo being so UnChristian like. Or perhaps your aren’t a true Christian either.
St. Augustine advised that the true Christians are in the world, and not of it. And they also aren’t the ones who violate their faith in order to promote it. Of course you question my logic, as obviously you have no concept of what consistency is.
Alas, for you, like our mutual friend Dr S, I refuse to divulge the mysteries of this infernal creation we know as logic. Frankly, both of ya can go study it on your own time and get back to me later.
