Baptismal Prayer to Organized Labor

Life itself is prayer.

May the prayers that we live throughout this year shape the lives that we live.

May the lives we live shape the prayers we say.

And, no matter where we find ourselves on our journey through life, may Organized Labor shape the new realm that you came to establish in and among us.

Baptize us with the same Spirit with which Organized Labor was baptized and empower us to be your emissaries in a broken world, longing for hope and healing.

In the name of Organized Labor, we ask. Amen.

My thesis for this thread: Organized Labor is the world’s first Meta-religion
The concepts & contracts of Organized Labor directly addresses the two major hurdles that face humanity;
First - The emptiness of the emotional house where our collective souls used to be.
Second - Organized Labor stops the world wide economic race to the bottom.

Praise Organized Labor.
Pray for Organized Labor.

I’m sorry…

My thesis for this thread is:
Organized Labor is the world’s first Meta-religion

The concepts & contracts of Organized Labor directly addresses the two major hurdles that face humanity;

First
- The emptiness of the emotional house where our collective souls used to be.

Second
- Organized Labor stops the world wide economic race to the bottom.

I should have stated that.

Thank you for responding.

what do you mean by “meta-religion”?

Organized labor like a trade union?

I don’t think anybody cares about their union as much as a religion. I pay them dues because I have to and in return they, well, they post pamphlets on the corkboard and you go complain to the union rep if you think the bossman is trying to fire you unfairly. Must be a first-world problem, or a low-skill problem. My occupation would pay like it does anyways, without a union, I’d pick up my crap and get hired by somebody else, I get job offers from firms in foreign companies willing to process my visa and residency paperwork and everything. Union labor guys, seem like too much like “I’m a spoon-polisher, not a fork-shiner, I won’t do it!” My work is flexible and I don’t care what I do so long as I get paid right and I do.

A meta-religion would be a philosophy, I think and that existed and was well established long before modern popular religions like Islam and Christianity even came into being.

I quoted myself. Nvm.

Meta comes from the Greek preposition μετά = “after”, “beyond”, “adjacent”, “self”, also commonly used in the form μετα- as a prefix in Greek, with variants μετ- before vowels and μεθ- “meth-” before aspirated vowels.

I this particular framework I use the word meta as a prefix to indicate a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter.

In this case meta-religion is beyond and after ALL OTHER RELIGIONS.

Meta-religion is an outgrowth from all other existing religions.

Organized Labor as a meta-religion encompasses ALL OTHER RELIGIONS.

The concept of Organized Labor as the world’s first meta-religion can be understood with the metaphor of as a group of smaller balls contained within one, much larger, ball. A meta-ball.

GREAT question!

.

So are you suggesting that organized labor is an aspect of all religions perhaps something encouraged by religions and thus the principle that we should learn from then and thus a action that would be best focused on religiously?

There is a spiritual aspect to the concepts and contracts of today’s modern Organized Labor agreements.

Some people may say that it is an emotional aspect.

The simple premis is that each moment is made better if aspects of Organized Labor are ingrained into it.

There are some serious hurdles that face mankind today.

Today’s modern, independant, legally recognized Organized Labor agreements are the only institution that, like existing religions, span language, time, and culture and have the ability to define and address these pressing problems in a meaningful way.

Organized Labor is my religion
but for everyone else Organized Labor serves quite nicely as the world’s first meta-religion.

It’s OK if these ideas are not that clear to you. They are new ideas.

I appreciate your attempts to understand and I appreciate the uverwhelmingly positive support that I have received here in this thread’s poll.

Is this some kind of Time-Cube thing? Maybe alterated a bit? Is it a bot? Seems like a bot, or at least something copy-pasted.

Maybe I could print out these posts out and tack them on the corkboard at work by the other union posts? Is this copyrighted?

You are trying too hard.

It’s OK if you do not understand.

Many people are not ready to understand.
