My daughter, Summer Jo Ross, was born June 16 2012, at 9:50 PM Paris Time (GMT+1).
This is her favorite song:

=D> Awesome news. Congratulations to all. Is it your first?
Song reminds me of Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark!
Congratulations.
Now your life really begins.
Whoa, big news! Congrats Dad!
Flannel Jesus, the fatherly.
Congratulations! Although it’s no easy job, I’ve always felt that raising a child would ultimately be a blast.
Good job, Daddy and Mommy–stay cool and take naps when you can. The pattern of your lives has been irrevocably changed.
…am pleased for ya
Congratulations, Flannel Jesus, great name choice!
Thanks Pav. I chose Summer - her expected due date was the summer solstice, so it made sense. My wife chose Jo - partly because the J makes her initials the same as mine: SJR :and partly because she just thinks it’s a cute name.
i’m happy for you, Flannel
And just in time, today is Father’s Day.
You’re welcome!
I almost hate to say this because it is completely irrational fucking drivel, but I put a good deal of stock into an individual’s first name. You’ll be pleased (if you buy-in to my drivel, which I do, even though it’s drivel) to know that I have met two, “Summers,” and both of them were shy but warm-hearted. The two of them also seemed fairly intelligent, but it was hard to tell, because it was difficult to get two words out of them. You could tell by their facial expressions (when placid) and body language that they were generally kind people, though.
My son is Kevin because every Kevin that I have personally known has been quiet, kind and pretty intelligent. It’s not looking like this Kevin will be quiet anytime soon, but then, neither am I. I don’t say much, except to friends, but when I do say something, it is anything except quiet!!!
My daughter is Khloe which is a huge gamble. I’ve never personally met a Khloe, but I picked that first name just because I like the name. I’ve maybe seen a grand total of six minutes of the show, but it seems like Khloe is the sweetest of the Kardashians. She seems kind of stupid, though, but my Khloe seems to learn faster than Kevin did, and Kevin tests above-average for everything, so Khloe should be fine there.
You clearly haven’t seen the sextape. She’s a bad girl.
We both also think that a name is relatively important. Before we knew it was a girl, the possible names for a boy were Sonny, Paxton and Ace.
I heard a funny joke about boys named Christian. The guy was like, “Why are people named Christian?..It’s like my parents naming me Jew.”
Congrats Flannel.
Studies have shown that people who have kids are less happier then those who don’t although the ones that do have kids tend to feel like they have accomplished more.
So, what exactly are you talking about?
Kids change everything … how you see the world, how you see yourself and how you relate to other people.
She cries and I put on some Sufjan Stevens and she falls right asleep.

Probably yeah, but not necessarily for the better.
