Beyond the dualities~

It’s kind of “poetic”, I guess;
From my personal-notes,
About the firey and divisive nature of affection.

It’s more of a philosophical statement, than it is of “creative writing”.
Just think about it, really.

Beyond the dualities~

“How hard thee hath fallen in love with my light.
Maybe ye seeketh warmth from the burning flame that maketh that light?
But lo, hath thee forgotten about mine shadows?
(For the light always maketh the shadow, also.)
What if only a tiny part of me was that adorable candle of which you hath taken note?
Oh, and one day, what if I should come to a horrible choice?
What if I must choose to either become evil or to die, and those be my only two options?
Or, perhaps before us, we hath already both chosen, and that is why we are alive today?
But what can the self do other than call itself “good”, or, if it calleth itself “too evil”, it must soon destroy itself, also.
How can it even live in such a way other than hope-in-itself?
How can it see anything at all without light?
But most of space is still black.
Lo, cometh to touch, I have not yet been made cruel,
But oh! How simple it is to maketh one cruel. And how often are ones made, instead of making!
Each enemy is a little-bit friend,
And each friend is a little-bit enemy.
Whom is left to love and to cherish my sin?
And whom was there before me, to call it sin, and to hate it instead of loving it?
Lo, thy love is also of the fire; it maketh divisions!
My watery parts can only be both. They can only be whole.
Love both or love neither, [the watery parts say,] for the water accepts all other waters into itself,
Until there is but one ocean. It is cold, too, spreading out and taking away all of the warmth,
Until it becomes hard and frozen.”
