First day in a capitalist country, Xunzian? Welcome to hell!!!
Old elementary school joke;
How do you make a Hormone?
I don’t know
Put sand in her vasaliene
Astroglide gel trumps Vaseline, any day.
Yea capitalism!!! I get choices!!!
You really want to make a hormone, knock on her backdoor without Vaseline or Astroglide. When you’re done, steal back your money and leave.
That’ll do the trick.
Boy, I brutalized spelling the word Vaseline, well it at least it proves one thing…
That you use Astroglide?
LMMFAOROTFLMMFAO …
I thought about trying to post something semi-serious, but I think it best to leave this thread alone. Oh, to hell with it.
Kebop,
There isn’t anything given to food animals that doesn’t show up as PPM in the final food product. It isn’t just the growth hormones, it also includes antibiotics, and all chemicals used in producing the foods that the animals consume before they become “food”. Remember the mad cow disease problem? It comes from animal feeds that contain the ground up bodies of cows that have died from who knows what. Yup, we feed ‘deads’ back to the same herd of cows.
As always, harmful materials in the food supply are expressed as PPM, and in a single instance, is considered “safe”. That we ignore multiple foreign materials, or the accumulative effects over time, says that we’re probably lucky to be alive.
Go organic? Well, organic can certainly slow down some of the problems, but all that nice natural fertilizer used to produce those organic fruits and vegetables? It probably came from a mega dairy that uses all sorts of hormones, medications, and feed stocks that weren’t organic. So the “taint” may be less, but it is still present. Unless those organic crops were watered from deep wells, the chances are very good that the water used to grow those crops have the same PPM problems of all other parts of production. As long as we talk in PPM’s, everything is ‘safe’. But no matter what you ingest, it contains whatever is in the soil, the water, the air, and whatever has been added in the chain of production. In short, ‘pure’ and ‘safe’ are relative terms. Open your mouth and you takes your chances…
tent,
There are times that I get really tired of people like yourself with this whole “lucid perspective” folderol … life is about conspiracies, lots of them.
They are trying to poison us out of existence, or control us from the skies. The answers, my friend, are blowing in the wind.
Mas,
Yeah, I can be a real PIA sometimes. Oh all right, all of the time. I just have problems with the illusions that there is a way to ‘beat’ the system. Too few think the miracle ‘fixes’ through.
A conspiracy? I’ve heard that we aren’t being poisoned, the aliens are just ‘tenderizing’ us for consumption later. The obesity in western societies isn’t a junk food phenomena, it is a conspiracy to fatten us up. More tonnage per hundred. Controllers, always evil controllers. We are just poor victims of the puppetmasters… Throw away the tinfoil hat. The aliens aren’t after our brains, they’re just looking for something good to eat.
It’s cheaper and more economical for a business to use such means to yield more of their product. A business that does not use growth hormone would get crushed in the open market.
By the way- Humans are the only animal that drinks milk after it is nessesairy, and humans are the only animal that drinks the milk of other animals.
It’s pretty gross if you think about it. Cheese and yogert is gross too.
The really stupid part is that in the long run, they actually don’t get as much yield out of each individual cow, many cows are too sick to produce properly and many cows simply die much sooner. So really its just a complete waste, its one of those things where they are locked into a system of doing things this way.
Oh I don’t know about the part animals don’t drink other animals milk. Plenty of cases of interspecies suckling. I have a female dog and a female cat that both have spontaneously lactated just to nurse an infant of the other species. Zoos use this ability for infants all the time.
And what do you mean we don’t need to drink milk? Several reminders here: Cookies, cereal, cakes, icecream, sauces, Etc… remove milk and so many foods become horrible. Can you picture chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal cookies without milk? Corn flakes or Cap’n Crunch dry or with water?Blasphemous
And saying cheese is gross , declares an unamerican traitorous attitude towards Pizza
I just ate some of that hormone free Ben and Jerry’s half baked and it was fucking delicious. AND…it didn’t even make me grow tits!!
I don’t know Smears, perhaps you shouldn’t reject breasts out of hand so, it might be a look that works for you … ?
LOL, Smears I think you need to OD on it. Like they do with lab rats. Remember when they tested Saccharine on Lab rats? They ODed the rats then claimed Saccharine causes cancer. We would have to eat something like a five lb bag of saccharine everyday for months or so to get the same effect.
I saw an interesting documentary- ‘The Corporation’ the other day and BGH is featured in one of the Chapters: see it HERE.
It’s quite impressive the lengths the drug companies will go to in order to persuade the public this is a safe product to use: from university professors to so-called experts– all trying to mould a favourable public opinion.
Equally impressive is how well the media (Fox) tried to bury the story. The FDA is clearly not doing its job, but more than that, this demonstrates systemic failure of the institutions that be to suppress information clearly important to public health.

Actually, that is a common misconception with rat studies. Rat livers are much better at metabolizing toxins than human livers (who knew that 2000+ years of living off of human garbage would do that?) which means that in order to demonstrate the effect a substance might have on a human, they need to have a considerably larger dosage per kg. The correlation isn’t always perfect, but it has been calibrated in such a way that it is at least somewhat reliable. A better litmus test would be whether the first author has an M.D. or a Ph.D… As a rule of thumb, M.D.s are less familiar with the vagaries of statistical analysis and will come to some . . . odd conclusions.
Wait one second Xunzian, if two thousand years of living off toxins can change a rat, cannot the same thing be happening to us? In other words Toxins made the rate a better model. will/could it not do the same to us, possibly?
Of course it does. For example, in Asia they drank tea. To make tea, water was boiled (which sanitizes it) and tea itself has antimicrobial properties. So, they were able to create potable drinking water quite easily. Whereas most of the rest of the world had to make alcohol in order to have a potable drink. You, quite literally, either drank a alcoholic beverages or you died of something nasty like cholera. Welp, take a look at which populations have an easier time drinking alcohol. You know, Asian flush and all that.
So, given time, it is reasonable to think that we could adapt to the toxins in our environment. You just have to keep a couple things in mind: 1) Rats have a much shorter generation time than humans. Rats usually start breeding at about 4 months of age and their gestation time is less than a month. 2) Humans have become very adept at removing selective pressures from our breeding. Look at all the people with glasses on the street. 3) Most toxins, at the levels humans are normally exposed to them, don’t really have a negative effect until well after they have bred, which means that immunity to toxins has very little effect on genetic fitness in the human situation. 4) Humans don’t actively seek out/thrive on sources of food that are full of toxins, which rats do.
Let me address 3 and 4
On 3 would not the adapation or toxins be passed from mother to child and or father to child? Is this not happening now? We have man made chemicals in our bodies as mothers, would this not affect the infant? I realize the placenta is a filter but, still would not certain chemicals get through? If cocaine and crack can, can’t the others do it too?
So if this is happening then is not the body being adapted while growing in the uterus?
On 4 ROFL, How long has it been since you have read a label at a grocery store?
As far as breeding and gestation how many generations/years have man made chemicals been put into foods? 3 or 4 generations right? Did they ever test the fetus exposure in rats? Or do you know? A true change might be observed in the children of today. Size, syndromes(ADD, ADHD etc.)
If the fetus receives doses as it is being grown then it continues through life, would this not be cumulative and affect each generation to a greater extent? Eventually it should reach a saturation point quickly, shouldn’t it? Where an evolved change is known. hmm, I may have jumped around abit, I just never thought of this before. its pretty interesting.
Presence of the toxins alone is insufficient. You’re veering close to LaMarkianism there, be careful. All that matters is whether the child can reproduce. Most of the so-called “toxins” that people in the organic food movement are frightened of don’t have an effect on reproductive fitness. Some of them, like BGH actually may increase their fitness since they cause an earlier onset of puberty.
