Outright bias, hidden bias, or kinds of bias on all sort of things. But, strictly BIAS. What percentage of posters you know here you reckon is at least moderately biased towards you or others?

I think this is “a law of the jungle” There is no way one can please all people all the time so one is bound to offend or cause someone to have a bias made in another’s mind against you at some point. I mean can you even live without bias? One must be a stone not to be affacted by ones like’s and dislike’s, one’s preferences and pet peeves. The line between adoration and revulsion perhaps. Even plants have bias’ to a certain degree, but I suppose that all depends on how far you want to stretch the meaning of the word.
Bias can be both positive and negative. No where in the defintion does it state that bias is simply one or the other. It can be either a partiality, or a prejudice.
yup…and, IMHO, we really cannot help but developing subconscience biases towards a lot of things.

Bias, I try very hard to distinguish it from impression. When someone’s biased towards me, I feel the sheer hostility in their words, regardless of how natural my initiation seemed to be. Guess concordant said it: impossible to please everyone. So why even try? Actualy, someone active in this form just pmed me today with a very insulting message indeed, just because I tried to “please” the other day… So far so good, one thing I learnt - one’s gotta to know when to say: FUCK OFF TOSSER!
