Now what does all this mean , as passage to the above? That in spite of having been frozen to a rating number, some Chess member said that it took for ever, it seemed to him to raise up to 150, and stayed there for a very long time, maybe for a decade or even decades.
So what of it? Whatâs in the number and what meaning could it have in terms of differentiating the expert/master player, from the occasional week end warrior, whose pent up gaming reflects a kind of OCD, a veritable need for catharsis, whereby he spurts out a near miraculous energy ridden frozen matter of some kind that turns that energy flowing smoothly , yet violently, partly out of a fear of being shut out of the timing, the sequence of configured certainty of moves, that distilled logic into itâs antecedent state, that is wordless, undefinable and meaningless.
Like a new world state of order, he sees not all the interminable, intervening flow, as a preceding solid unity, but as a blur, a thin film of spliced together images he thinks are sort of private property that no one can share itâs compelling image of . Living by epithets, moved by unknown openings, taking a chance, throw a dart and see where it lands, and leave it to higher powers to see how it moves you and where that lands others , and commune with them from here to eternity.
Thus the middle is left blank as well, and it simply becomes merely a power play, power begets power, let those power moves speak for them selves, and chess becomes more a game of dominos filling subservience by a supposed fiat, a Deus ex machina.
So the miracle of the paradoxical goodness in man becomes tautological and reflexive, praying upon that visage , as bearing a standard toward the right revision.
But miracles can be defined also across fulfillment devices, machines which can not exceed the timing that a current situation demands, so it encloses itâs self within brackets, hoping something will rain down from the clouded that a again can resemble some Godâs habitat, an Olympic feat that can only resemble those eternal forms everyone admires and covets.
So how should the timer cluck away through the moves, which by now have come to define their own agenda? Or is this a tragic recurrence of something ominous, another phony peace, a calm before another storm?
Happy those that can see a game simply as an extension of childrenâs play, waiting to define new rules, that were previously defined; itâs not which side winning black or white, when itâs so easy to change sides, and put another spin on a pre-established harmony as requisite to how the kibbitzers see what side they end up on.
Now the explanation for the sudden surge in rating was really bravado, and not an exhibition of superior playing for to many reps against the same rated player.
I am satisfied that the rate between 1200 and 1300 is appropriate, and no ghosting on that account occurred. The logic of that proposition does not, can not formulate other propositional values, related to subordinate , political values which are immeasurable,
This test was self administered and has no necessary objective criteria at play.
Things apparently remain as conventional status quo.
Thanks Carleas for a pretty well played game.
All games are also learning experiences
I thought I played that one alright and then I looked at the post-game AI analysis and almost all my moves for the first half of the game were flagged as inaccuracies. Certainly a learning opportunity, TBD if I can manage to learn anything from it.
Thanks for the game.
Carleas,
I think I did learn for just played Isabel, and won, hands down.
But she is a much better player, probably knows most openings and so I would not like to play her to ten games.
Sheâll average me out .
Anyone in store to play next?
I will play you if you challenge me.
I canât if we follow rules, next up played the winner, and Carleas beat me, besides did you not already play ? I am not really in the loop here, but then it may be an informal game and everyone can challenge, regardless.
So yes, I challenge you, but really Isshthus, I wouldnât want to feel bad if you loose, nor would I feel bad if I do.
But there are not many members lining up to play, so yes letâs play , but I forgot your stage name at chess.com.
Another thing, Carleas set up the game and was white, Iâd prefer you too be elwhite because I am at a loss in that regard.
Not this time, Meno. We only play if you set it up. Ask one of your grandkids to help you. Surely Shirley can help you.
Just play like you play rapid chess and Iâm sure Iâll beat you.
Ok Iâll ask them, what is your name at chess.com?
Ichthus77M
friend me back
just click the
Ok later today, thanks Ichthus
Now how is it decided who is black and who is white?
See the three screenshots below which illustrate the three steps below:
click on your âfriendsâ icon.
click Ichthus77M (not tidibidi, obviously) game board icon
click the v & pick 3 days, click whether or not youâre playing black, white, or if itâs selected ârandomlyâ in the middle
I think clicking the green play button should be enough after that. [I donât know what sending the challenge link does â maybe it doesnât become an actual game until the other player pushes play or something?]
Ok & thank you
Thank You for the game,Ishthus.
