I see multiple ways in which humankind could blend in with nature, rather than trying to force nature down - which is futile anyway.
This bridge seemed to be an example of that.

The term pontifex, granted to Roman Emperors and to the Pope to this day, literally means builder of bridges. I suppose it’s better to build bridges instead of walls.
