Consciousness is a creation of natural evolution.
The endless argument as to whether this is the result of random genetic mutations
or preconceived design is essentially irrelevant.
These facts are constant:
Consciousness exists as a natural phenomena
it is creative
it is design orientated
it accommodates random variables
These set constants are true of consciousness throughout all three Kingdoms of
Nature
The inevitable corollary here
is that the future of conscious evolution
including all design variables
is almost perfectly predictable
What is not set by Nature as yet
is the end design of human conscious
Our young specie is the lone conscious phenomena in Nature
that remains in an on-going argumentative process
of evolutionary development
And since the evolution of all three billion other conscious specie in Nature
has ended in an inevitable set result
it is logical to assume that our arguments will end
and so will our future arrive at a set result.
Human consciousness is an extension of primate genetic selection
It is possible via a dissection of that history of evolutionary development
and the sequential advances of subsequent conscious realizations
to predict the set result of our end design.

Nice post MM, but I don’t think the end-game of evolutionary consciousness, or even human form, is predictable, as many factors can affect the end result of random pairings… although, external stability would lead to predictability, somewhat.
The end game of human form is the extinguishment of the universe as we know it that supports it.
Honestly people theorizing about some grand consciousness for human beings which equally equates and might as well be called purpose due to the subject of this conversation leaning towards the word I find to be laughable.

personally I find that having a reasonably clear idea
of the purpose of my existence
allows me a greater sense of focus and purpose
in the past
and helps me to decide in what i do now in the present
I find it odd that some people prefer not to know where they are going
or if they will arrive anywhere
and just amble along
which is of course
not laughable
random pairings end in divorce, my dear
man may meander that way in his teens
but hit and miss is not in our Grand Design
randomness is incidental
designers make allowance for it
the future will certainly continue to happen
each step forward is based in the concrete events and circumstances of the past
dictating the range of the moves we make in the present
our freewill has little to do with it
while it remains wrought with indecision
ultimately there is always only one True step forward
and we will arrive there
reunited with our Love
no matter what
Well it did bring tears of laughter to myself when I thought to myself that sort of junk philosophy and perspective still existing today is just funny and sad. ( Mostly sad)
When will you people ever learn that there isn’t any higher purpose out there than what you create for yourself?

I don’t delude myself to know purpose in any sense of the word. The only purpose that consumes me is my purpose that I try to create for myself everyday.
You believe in a grand design. It’s cute how so many people still believe in that nonsense.
…perceiving it does not mean that the end design would be what you have perceived it to be… that is only your perception of it - surely socio-environmental factors will dictate the outcome.
