After experiencing a great loss in my life I traveled a lot to different, sometimes very ‘alien’ countries and did find that, however interesting, it was also dangerous for my soul. The exception was the US, which I experienced as a kind of ultimate form of western culture, in which I am also rooted. Life went very easily there.
