I fear God’s laws, but I love God.
Love is based on trust. Fear is based on mistrust. The two are incompatible.
If there is something I fear, I would avoid that situation as much as possible. No, I do not fear God or his laws. I love God and his laws. I fear for others who do not love God’s laws.
Just like someone can fear there father and love him at the same time, that’s how it is with God. Simple to understand really. The fear is a respectful fear, not a fear he will abandon you or hurt you.
