i bet i could with “method acting”… i’ve considered faintly( quite a few times and mentioned it to rouzbeh and other ppl that know that i have “random” tourette syndrome eccentrities i throw in the air for no reason when i was drunk or hi) how it would be like to be a serial killer( the coolest thing i guess is to get away with the murders, altho i hear that they eventually want to get caught so they get fame and/or attention or some shit) but i’ve concluded that A) what’s the point of ending another human’s life … except for Interest of society or “justice” vengeance iB)Dealing with a “Crime and Punishment” syndrome and the cliche nightmares C)Risking being caught and jailed/having future ruined/getting rammed in the ass in jail D) Risking your own physical health and getting yourself dirty E)You’d get pretty annoyed if you were the victim, wouldn’t you
generally, it’s not useful to be a psychopath(which means serial killer in my book)
Naw…it wasn’t meant as a “You ARE a psychopath” “You think like a psychopath” test, it was meant to see if you could understand the way a psychopath might think. I wish I could remember all the details in the other stories we used, I would put some of them up for you guys.
i was worried because i couldn’t remember the proper wording so i kind of improvised and i was unsure if how i worded it made it too obvious. perhaps that is what happened in your class
indeed a joyous disappointment. i came to that conclusion when i started hunting squirrels a few summers ago and realized that they didn’t need to or deserve to die kind of thing.
but in my defense it started because they were entering the roof of out house from one of the trees, so it wasn’t all sport.
in conclusion, i will hurt a fly to eat it, but not because I’m bigger than it.
humans are creatures of intense emotions and the injury of various flies are merely byproducts.
there are psychopaths who would never dream of hurting a fly, until you mention a certain word like “clown”… then they might gut you with a fork
Nope. It was not delivered in any way that made it obvious, and I’m not sure why that would be your first assumption. I have the original version of this question available, but I can’t remember the details of the others we were given that year.
The version we recieved-
A woman named Jane had recently lost her mother. While at her mother’s funeral, she saw a man whom she did not recognize as a family member. He struck her as the most handsome man she had ever seen, and she felt compelled to speak to him. They talked for a while and Jane realized that he was perfect, and fell instantly in love with him. She left his company for only a moment to use the bathroom, but when she returned, she found that he was nowhere to be seen. Jane went home, devestated because she had not thought to get his name or any information about him.
The next morning, Jane awoke from a dream about the man, entered her sisters room, and suffocated her with a pillow.
Yes, because even doing something like singing really loudly down the sidewalk would infringe on others, and no doubt, they would label you a psycho. Is this the type of freedom you desire?
Because if you looking to fly into the sky like neo at the end of the matrix, it probably wont happen and you’'ll have to settle for singing in the street or farting in the elevator.
Believe me i dont want to settle either. If I could live on a planet on the opposite side of the universe, (in reference to what, i dont know), but I would do it
What would resemble the kind of freedom I want even more would be living OUTSIDE the universe, wherever or whatever that may be.
Yes, but freedom is not an absolute. It’s relative, as I’ve pointed out before.
Even as The One, Neo is still bound by the desires and motivations of his species, expressed through his genes. And, he can only exhibit his freedom, or power, in the artificial environment of the Matrix; so at the most, all he is doing is exploiting a loophole in the programming.
Everything is bound by something else, even when there a multitude of choices. Especially then. One could not even conceive of the idea of freedom without the limits one wishes to transcend.
Freedom is not about flipping the bird at some random person in the steet, for the sake of a display of defiance; freedom is about overcoming limitation and the acquisition of power, for the sake of more power. All of life is a struggle with need, which is a consequence of lack, which is the driving force of will to power.
Magsj could be a psychopath. She seems nice and pleasant and she’s the last person you would suspect, just like Ted Bundy. She could have a dungeon in her house where she drugs and castrates men, and then preserves their balls in jars of formaldehyde. She could have an entire collection of nothing but jars filled with the testicles of all her past boyfriends.
I used to wish for a portal to open up into this magical land where I could rule and create at whim; a realm where I was god and all reality succumbed to my will.
It was teenage escapism. But it was also a form of will to power.
I knew what I wanted, yet I felt unable to acheive these desires within normal reality, so I devised a fantasy within which to fulfil them.
Such behaviour speaks of inability to realise your Will, which is what drives you. Impotence.
Believers in an afterlife do the same thing; life hurt them and made them suffer, so they imagine a heavenly paradise to creep into when they die and so be given happiness.
One should learn to put aside the fantasies that are just fantasies and make them real.
That is will to power.
i dunno, that seems more obvious then my way of putting it. the “smuthering” description is somewhat grim so i suspect that is why it would not attract analysation. though a group concious has a complete different set of morals.
I’m certain this will give me lots of normalcy on the boards (of which I have lots of, I’m sure) but I’m quite certain that I could kill certain people in cold blood and yet the idea of injuring an animal to me is terrifying.
I also suspect that there are a growing number of people with the same psychological make-up . . . Enter twilight zone theme music
