There is a town about 25 minutes away from my school called Cassadega.
This town is unique because everyone who lives there is eithier a witch (Satanist) or a medium (psychics who communicate with the dead).
I’ve heard from several people that have gone there that they have experienced something supernatural, or have seen strange people performing rituals in the cemetary at night.
Heres the most interesting thing, there is a chair in the back of the cemetary made of bricks that is called the Devil’s Chair, rumor from kids at school is that the devil (or something) will speak with you if sit in the chair at midnight.
I had to go check this out, so I rounded up a few guys and two girls (so they could get SCARED!!) and made the trip out there at 11:30.
So we head out on this road that goes straight into nowhere and make the turn into Cassadega. You can tell immediately when you see the carved pumpkins and psychic readings all over the place that this town is not normal.
So we’re driving and we see someone in a white dress running into the forrest to the right of us, then…its gone. Just a little wierd.
Down by the lake you can see people standing in a circle with candles, some sort of ceremony, not sure what though.
So we make it to the cemetary, the light over devil’s chair is going on and back off about every minute or so.
The tension is high, and I’m ready to go sit in the chair and hopefully experience something supernatural…
Then all of a sudden flashlight “Alright stop right there, don’t even try to run” its the cops, what the fuck are they doing there?
“What the hell are you guys doing here? Do you have any idea where you are?”
Me- “I’m sorry sir I didn’t know that this was off-limits.”
“You didn’t read the sign? You kids don’t know who could be out here at night, you could get raped or murdered.”
“If I see you guys out here again I will not hesitate to arrest you, be on your way.”
Although I’m thwarted by Johnny Law I wonder why the fuck the cops are staking out at devil’s chair? Why do they care if we go over there?
Its the locals, they don’t take kindly to visitors, they like to keep everything there a secret, to them its sacred.
I’m now even more intrigued, I’m going back, just not for awhile.
It got me wondering though, I’m an atheist, and I don’t believe in the devil, but I do believe in spirits.
But what if I experienced something that was undeniably the devil, something that when you felt it…you knew exactly what it was.
Would I then believe in God neccessarily? I don’t know, but something this important, I gotta investigate more.
