I think most look alright…but it lets you know how much beauty is effort. Now, if they cut out the gym for a while as well,…hmmm…wow, they’d look like anyone else. Shocking!

To be honest, the “bad” pictures are really, really, bad pictures. Yes, I realize thats the point, but its not like they just walked up and took a snapshot of the person during their everyday activities. The one of Brittany Spears looks as if shes been fighting the flu for a week.

Good Day!
-Harrison

Are their faces made up, or painted on?

They still look good, even in the before pics, they dont look that bad.

The guys seem to think the women look really bad (or are very ill) in the pictures.

The females seem to think they look okay.

The point is, every woman you see on TV,in an ad,in a magazine, etc. etc. has been made up (sometimes with a full body airbrush). The air is styled, the clothes are picked out by consultants, the performers are photographed from the best angle, it’s all contrived. :^o

Never trust what models look like in a fashion or men’s magazine…that stuff is photoshopped to death.

Don’t buy into the illusion, my friends. Just because a person is famous doesn’t mean that they are any better (or better-looking) than you.

The bad pics just look like ordinary people.

Of course one can walk past any magazine rack in this country and see adjacent magazines, one full of pics showing how unhealthily thin some celebs have got (Sarah Jessica Parker being quite a common one, unsurprisingly since she basically looks anorexic, sad bitch) and the next full of pics showing how ‘fat’ some celebs have become. Usually this means that they aren’t painfully skinny and actually have flesh which moves when you smack it (i.e. not fat, just not ludircously thin)…

It’s a load of bullshit, a melange of contradictory images designed to make everyone feel bad about their appearance and become dependant on cosmetic products.

I look great without makeup! I only ever wear makeup when I’m going to a party. The rest of the time I have no time for such things. Sincerely I look better without it. We all have our off days and this is largely due to what we put into our bodies, not what we put onto them. It is also dependent on what kinds of thoughts we have about ourselves and about others and about the world. Our thoughts when directed positvely have a positive impact on our bodies and on our environment.

When I eat well - that is when I respect my body, my body responds by looking well. My hair shines, my eyes sparkle, my skin glows. It’s pure science. If you put healthy organic nutrients in, the result will be a healthy glow which is never achieved by makeup. Also it doesn’t matter what features a person has, but if they glow with health they are beautiful and no-one can argue with that.

That sounded like an infomercial

Not that it’s not true, it just read funny.

Yeah, I’m big on health. I used to own an organic health shop. There is a saying in the industry that health shop owners own health shops so that they can experiment on their own health. I would definitely say this is true in my case.

If everyone went with out vanity I wonder how much nicer the world would be?
I never could understand caring or wondering about movie stars. Sure there is a bit of curiousity but,They get paid to do a job, they just get more. They are mere entertainers. I would rather get the autograph from the best educator then an athlete or entertainer. The subjects about entertainers is so overdone, I wonder when they will fall back to being considered lower class? Good God if I had a support team like they have I would be beautiful too. Wait, I do its called my family. I am beautiful! And so are you all.

Despite (or perhaps because of) my rather rigorous excersize schedule I eat horribly. Lol… I make hamburgers like every day.

It’s sad I know… how can I break out of this cycle?

You gotta want to. And you gotta put the effort in.

Just so Angel!

And the best tip I’ve ever heard for weight loss is, “Aside from Sumo wrestlers, have you ever seen an obese athelete?”

Kriswest, I consider classification of people is rooted in deep vanity. What do you think?

Yeah… about that.

Actually, this isn’t very shocking to me.
I myself used to mess up with celebrities in Photoshop, just out of boredom. :imp:
The results can be rather realistic.

I would have to agree it seems to sound right the more I think about it.
With money and power comes vanity. An interesting thing, remove money and power the person still tends towards the vain side even if they were not vain to begin with.
Troupes of entertainers were considered lowest class due to no visible homes. They often appeared to have poverty existance. Does anyone know when the actual change of attitude towards entertainers started taking place? When it started to become a kid dream to entertain for a living?
Interesting thought I just had:
Look at cities before sewer systems were put in, sewage ran down the center of the street, folks would throw their slop bucket out the windows The folks in the upper stories of buildings would have fresher air and no slops near their home and self. The wealthier family lived in the upper stories their employees or slaves would live in the lower quarters. Now that may not have been the actual start of classing but it sounds close.
This Might answer some questions on my thread about classifications. Thanks Unicor, what is your opinion?

My opinion is that Uniqor is pronouced as yo’neeker, so it really shouldn’t be spelled with a C, Kriswest, what do you think?

I find the orange lettering difficult on the eyes, K?
