Celestial Size Matters

This link includes a presentation of the relative size of selected celestial objects: http://fundyreformed.wordpress.com/recommended-links/a-humbling-look-at-the-universe/.

It is rather impressive.

What is your reaction to it?

I am glad that we have a rather humbly-sized celestial body providing us with just enough warmth and light. Interesting find, especially the comparison between the sizes of different stars.

Though the red giant Antares may be the largest star we know, it’s not the most massive or brightest.

That honor apparently goes to the Pilot star in the Pilot Nebula.

The amount of energy our Sun produces in a year is produced by the Pilot star in just six seconds.

Absolutely amazing.

Its very daunting XD.
