Charasteristics of a successful leader

A leader must be

  1. Charasmatic
  2. Powerful
  3. Always right
  4. Definate authority

I my experience, #2 comes from #1. Once #2 is established, #4 follows and with #4, how could #3 not follow?

So . . .

Let’s clean it up and say that a leader must be Charismatic. Now, if we want to talk about a good leader, I would suggest that #3 ought be removed . . .

  1. He should be poor, and remain poor throughout his time in power.

He should not want power.

I question the idea that leaders must be charismatic. In fact, it may be detrmental at times for them to be so. Leaders are charismatic when they fill the emotional needs of the people being led. Those needs often have nothing to do with the real work of governing.

It should be possible for a leader to be effective by simply making solid decisions.

a good leader

  1. should like his own solatude, as he will end up with a lot of it
  2. shopuld distaste power and so not be corrupted by it
  3. should be more concerned with the truth than oppinions
  4. should want to do his job right rather than worry about semantics.

that being said such a leader will never attain said position because s/he will never seek it. though s/he would prove the best fir for the job.
