Did you know that they put nicotine in toothpaste?
Conspiracies are ten a penny. The government only tells the press ‘freely and frankly everything that they could easily find out some other way’. Of course they cover up some things but that doesn’t mean they are all bad.
How about this - the world is run by Aliens [color=green)(Clin-ton…) whose existence is partially denied, partially admitted so that no-one is really sure and the Aliens can just get on with it.
Spaghetti monster… google it, there are nearly 2 million sites…
God, google it, there are over 179 millions sites.
Billions of people believe in the god of Abraham.
Why is it that none of these things are compelling evidence of a strange being?
Yet you choose to believe in conspiracies of tens-of-thousands.
“Something doesn’t feel right”…
Well, that puts a whole new paintjob on things! That’s ok though, King Ghidorah will have his revenge!
Yeah, we don't believe something that almost nobody believes. Welcome to my world. Stop by the religion boards sometime, and you'll see that folks here don't believe stuff that almost everybody believes. That's just the way of things.
Gobbo, you are American as you live in North America. I am only stating that eyewitness accounts are the least reliable, and circumstantial is usually far more reliable. Again, just for giggles, create a list of questions to describe a person, height, sex, weight, skin, hair, eye color, clothing, shoes, glasses or no glasses. Run copies of this and invite 10 friends over and order pizzas. After the delivery person leaves, ask your friends to complete your form. The results will probably surprise you. An instructor did this in a biopsychology class, but she had a maintenance person step in. Very few students even came close to describing the man. During the last five minutes of class the maintenance came back in. It was quite a shock to see how far off we all were.
I am just careful as to what I believe on line. Yes, I have been duped a few times, psyche pointed out the invalid claims of some sources. Glad he pointed it out, better that than deceived and misinformed. Also, there are many anti-Muslim sites, hum, Prophet of Doom comes to mind. Sounded very convincing, that is until I pulled the Qur’an up, with three different translactions on an academic site. The author lied and misquoted the text. Totally bogus.
Many media sources are very biased, but if they lie and distort information they often are fired. Look at the recent shake-up at the New York Times. Ditto for academics, they lie, distort, etc., they will not gain tenure or be fired.
Trust sources whose asses are on the line if they lie, they are less likely to fudge information.
Yeah but you’re focusing only on eye-witness account, fine… they are not always the most realiable, but that is only one aspect to this whole thing. Look at it as a totality, things don’t add up here…
I’m not saying this is some sinister plot or whatever, but the US government is claiming that all of these ‘excersizes’ (as clearly that’s what they are, these are small planes taking off from an airport… doing a ‘run’ and then landing again. They are NOT commercial planes, and they are NOT going anywhere. They’re not even marked. Someone said that they all look like that description when they’re up high enough… but they’re NOT that high. Eyewitness accounts or not, some of these pictures show these chemical clouds RIDIDULOUSLY close to the ground.
I’m not saying this is as bad as I’m perhaps making it out to be, but you cannot simply dismiss this as a whole… at least I certainly don’t think so.
Yep, was just discussing the tax issue with Imp. Albeit, I am lucky as I have a rental property and have a huge loophole/writeoff, as well as a tidy profit. I am just playing the game, but am doing so legally.
Chuckle, just read your response to my nasty stoner comment, I had it coming, and yes I teach, but certainly not 8th grade, albeit it sometimes feels like it as many are just out of high school, and have had a few gifted 10-16 years old enrolled in a credit class, but only for credit no credit, no grade involved. Actually, they often did very well compared to some of my older students.
Yes, I have questioned the system and support the flat tax. If anyone differs, fine, as I am no expert in economics.
LOL, Gobbo, I came of age during the 60’s and graduate in 1971, Vietnam, protests, riots, integration, race riots, Geez. I lived through the change the system years. Guess what, the change the system hippies, the ones who were and were not stoners, are the well-educated Baby Boomers and members of AARP who have major political impact. That is, they became part of the system. There are a few living in poverty living communes, National Geographic ran a bit on them, but the commune hippy bit is basically gone. Besides, I never enjoyed going to the huge parties, sometimes 300+ with a band, etc., the animals were nice but dumb, the dancing was fun even if the conversation was non-existent.
You’re right… I will undoubtably actually become fully endrenched in ‘the system’ as I’m too much of a spoiled kid to forgo some of the luxuries I’ve become accomadated to… ie: notebook and wireless etc.
But I don’t think it’s totally impossible to do some of what I feel is some ‘good’ from the inside, perhaps it might even be easier.
I mean… America/Canada really has it fairly well off, things here… and I suppose in the world in general could be alot worse… but it’s the informed’s responsabily to question the direction of where things are going.
The powers at be will do what they can get away with, we must constantly keep up the pressure.
LOL, me too, the spoiled princess, now spoiled significant other, Gobbo, I am not pissed, but DAMN IT, I PLAN TO STAY SPOILED. Once dated a guy he called me spoiled, and the above is what I said. LOL, mutual I don’t want to date her, him attitude. Me give up her x, y z, Hell, I like a microwave, a car with ac and a nice radio, etc., admit it, just do not care for the vidiot box, rent good tv series, but generally, the box is better than a sleeping pill for me.
Gobbo, if we can’t dismiss it as a whole, which part should we not dismiss? Please provide links to the information you think is relevant, because I strongly suspect there is a lot of kookage going on here. Like the 9/11 and moon landing conspiracy theories they all seem to think they know everything about science… in this case atmospheric science and what ALL contrails should look like…
Yes, true, I generall dismiss the theories. Recently, a Brigham Young physics professor also claimed that bombs took down the towers. Chuckle, I have to write my cuz regarding this guy and his credentials. I did pause because the prof. is probably Mormon, and Utah is a huge red state.
Since I have been living in the far less smoggy Las Vegas, (compared to SoCal) I have seen your chemtrails, too much smog previously. No ill affects, and they are attractive.
I still do not understand the big stink. If chemtrails were a possible problem our alphabet media would be all over it for ratings.
It’s an issue of thermodynamics - falling steel and concrete simply doesn’t contain the sufficient energy (potential converted to kinetic) to pulverise the concrete and steel below it and eject it up to several hundred feet from the site of the collapse. This is only possible with explosives. Look up ‘pyroclastic flow’ and where such things have been observed.
Plus there’s the issue of hundreds of eyewitnesses saying that they heard explosions prior to both collapses, but we can just overlook them as crackpots and conspiracy theorists because the conclusion that it suggested (the the US admin pulled it off) runs completely against what we’d like to believe.
