Chronically Unemployed In The Modern United States?

Yes, I am sure 25% unemployment nationally is the figure for the United States.

It’s not the official percentage of unemployment by the United States government but their numbers are manipulated where they lie instead.

shadowstats.com/alternate_da … ent-charts

I stand corrected. It is somewhere between 22-25% nominal difference.

You go to a place where a employer is supposed to be only to find out that that the office has either shut down or it has relocated. If that happens a couple of times in a row for a entire day you feel like you wasted your time even further.

A lot of people just fill out online applications anymore instead of struggling to go to actual places in person. It is effortless doing this but then you get to the situation where for every job opening there is twenty or more applications sent in for it.

That means you have a 1 in 25 percent chance of getting the job or worse mathmatically.

The odds are already stacked against you before you even begin to fill out a application online.

Then another problem arises that what little money you are able to find as a beggar is running out quickly where you cannot afford bus fare to travel around looking for work.

When this happens you know that if you cannot afford anymore in the future it’s back to walking.

Some of these job locations are twenty five miles away from where you live.

It then becomes twenty five miles to and from just to go look for work on foot where there is no guarantee that you will even get it going through the struggle of just getting there.

The prospects of looking for a job becomes even more of a farce…

Sometimes I become very cynical and think to myself these motherfuckers in power don’t care about the chronically unemployed because when you get down to it they make a lot of money off of prison labor nowadays. It’s like they are intentionally letting things get so out of hand in a nation because they are waiting for any excuse to lock a person up and cage them so that they can have their precious prison slave labor.

They want you to become violent and lose your sense of self control.

They want a excuse to harvest your labor in a prison.

Yes. That’s exactly it, man.

You should take up a sport. Me and you have the exact same attitude towards things, only I’m hyper competitive.

I’m a writer, and I know what if I write enough, I will invariably get good at what I do. Just pick something and practice, practice, practice.

No offense, but if you showed an undeniable talent at something, you will get hired. That’s how it works. What do you profess to be good at? Cause ‘labor’ is not a passion.

The trick in life is finding a low competition avenue for employment where you can practice and become a master class at something that is needed, and not a lot of people do. For instance, I know a guy who owns a 1-ton truck and he operates a ‘rubbish removal service’ here in BC. I worked with this guy for a period of time, in fact. He works 4-5 hours a day. Makes around 150k a year. And he just goes around collecting things like fridges, stoves, and other assorted things that you cannot throw out, for anywhere from $50-500 depending on what is going on. Looking at this dude you wouldn’t think he enjoys a comfortable life, but he does. He found a niche and worked it. And this is a somewhat saturated industry here. There are chain services like ‘1800-Junk-It’ that are all over the place, and this guy still does well.
Or, you can do like I do, and pick the most competitive thing—like writing, lol—and practice endlessly until you, ever so slowly, advance to that master class status. You just have to know yourself, and the things that you are good at. I’m single, care more about skill and being a creative than money. You have a family and sort of need money immediately. I would look into some obscure thing that will have you working not a lot, and making a lot. That is easier said than done, but from how you are talking I get the feeling that you just want to ‘work’ — and that doesn’t separate you from anyone. The goal is to be unique, my friend.

Fucker… I just checked craigslist for your town (your real one), they have a bunch of jobs available, more than here in a given day- look at these ones from today:

What makes you think that I haven’t checked Craigslist?

Remember a lot of these jobs requires expirience only or that you have your own tools on site.

Others require that you have a vehicle where it is non-negotiable.

A fucker, am I?

I do not very much like Craigslist though.

Maybe you have heard of the Craigslist killings or robberies in the past…

It is also a hotbed of scam artists and fraud.

lol fail.

CL is win.

There is a very uncertain feeling gowing down now: the reason there aren’t any New Deals , frontierss going on is. The incentive was eaten up by the very banks which floated all the paper. So now, Europe, specifically Greece, will be a kind of litmus test of the limits of floating debt, and what limits and controls can be tolerated , and wheather these limits will stop the tide. Since not only mortgages can go upside down, whole economies can. This is where the system is in major trouble, because regulations and limits are just one part of the picture. The most important factor is the reseliency of the unemployed, and the disenfranchised who entail faith not only in the economy, but in the very process of democracy, of which we, the so called Western world are the gatekeepers . With that in mind :God Bless America. -the land still, of the free-est.

Right…Like I have not already tried internet applications. Idiots…

When Europe collapses so will the United States and the rest of the world with it also.

The divine comedy continues and I assure you that all hope is gone…

The world will awash in blood, chaos, and nightmare where the great hideous engineers will finally reveal themselves to enslave the world that is they will try to anyways…

Craigslist is about as close to Anarchy as a classified ad can get.

Also filled with thieves, scam artists, and serial killers I do not really have the time to deal with especially in urban areas.

More trouble than what it is worth if you ask me.

I do so admire your enthusiasm for the american dream but I don’t agree myself.

Money, jobs & qualifications all work the same way in the following sense…
If a student scores 82% on a test and the national average is low the student gets a good grade, but if the national average is high he gets an inferior grade.
If you work and work and work for lots of money, and others don’t work as hard you get rich; if they do you are less so.

So in essence I think that although, as you say, there is a lot the subject can do for themself, ultimately we shouldn’t fail to factor in the ambition of others in a competitive system.
