Anybody with Cog Sci graduate training out there?
I got questions - How much money do you make? What do you do? Where do you work? Was it worth it?
Anybody with An MA or PhD in Cog Sci or know anybody that does please respond.
Thanks

Ah the little girl in you speaks up, separating the hot people from us ugly dorks. White Lotus really, if you don’t know anything about cognitive science please don’t clutter up my post with your hun noise. I’m curious about a field and I’d like some practical information. When you’re ignorant of something, best to stay silent and keep em guessing, than to open your mouth and Prove em right.
Connected? That’s so meaningless it’s hillarious. White Lotus, you don’t realize how silly you look do you? I once wrote a letter to the economics department of the London school of Economics over Christmas vacation, and they wrote back. I guess I’m connected to the LSE michelmas program.
I guess you’ve killed this thread with your bad self. Any information I might have gained has been replaced with excoriating commentary from a Low Countryer. Thanks, White Lotus. Obviously your need to put your balls on everything outweighs respect for information.
it says nothing. personally, i haven’t spoken up because i don’t know anything about what H3M was asking. i can’t help him answer his question. which is what you should do (not speak up) unless you have something relevant to say.
I don’t know, I’m not too worried about the number of responses I’ve received. I’m surprised such A tough philosophy hermit as yourself would resort to a quantity equals quality argument. Most of my stuff goes unanswered because it’s obscure. I’m fishing, I realize it. Sometimes you catch stuff and sometimes you don’t. I mean Montaigne? and who the fuck is La Boetie? people have to be asking themselves. And what about this mention of the TAZ? Is he really talking about Disney characters?
Regarding “being connected”, I don’t know if you caught it, but I was making fun. I don’t know how you say that in german, but I’d like to know, because you obviously have no sense of humor in english.
Hey, whitelotus,
That’s a beauty! You got some spirit in you, unlike most of the damned and the deceived on this site, I like that!!
Courage!

Great,I’m surrounded by a bunch of adolescent world rejecters who think enlightenment is found through the angry pursuit of hill climbing. What a sorry cosmovision
No such cynicism is reserved for the mere adolescent. Idealism on the other hand…
Philosophy, like art, is a struggler’s game. The elements LAUGH in you face. A cold wind (or parent) doesn’t care about your weltenshuang. Furthermore, philosophy is dead, and the parts still limping along are too complicated for the lamen. If anything we should be crystallizing whatever is useful to the commoner, get that stuff into the DNA of all that’s happening bad in the world.
