I know he’s a comedian and all that jazz, but all this campaign related stuff… Does what he’s saying mean that he could theoretically really be president of the united states? He has received donations and sponsors, and has the petition online for South Carolinians.
Other than the fact that he’s a comedian and putting on a fake persona, I’d say he’s really doing it. Thoughts?

I think that he trying to get on the ballot in South Carolina only. This would mean that he couldn’t be president because SC doesn’t have the electoral votes for that to happen and he’s not on the ballot anywhere else, (or even there yet). What could happen, if he got on the ballot and won SC would be that he would be taking that state’s electoral votes out of the relevant results of the election, (stealing that state’s votes from either a repub or dem).
The funniest thing that could happen would be if he were running along with a republican and John Edwards,(who’s also from SC) and actually beat Edwards in his home state.
