Collapse of Democratic Party = Collapse of Communist Party?

After the fall of the Soviet Union, ruling Communist Parties all over dissapeared and when emotions later on calmed down enough, no communist party could legitimately claim it was the de jure continuation of the old one- and for years, the various factions fought tooth and nail in regards to who actually was the real communist party.

In the old Soviet sphere, fairly obvious, it didn’t survive.

In America, the Democratic Part, originally called The Anti-Federalists (wow, did they do a 180°), survived succession in the Civil War, and the emancipation of blacks, and later Desegregation, by playing aggressive games of racial antagonism, dividing and conquering the US by getting various racial groups to fight one another.

Now, both The House of Representatives and Senate has gone Republican, Presidency is Republican, only six states are ran by Democrats, and they all have sizeable conservative populations waiting to pounce. In places like West Virginia, a Democrat only won by running a Pro-Coal, Anti-Hillary campaign. This isn’t uncommon… shows no deep loyalty to the Democratic Party.

If the Democratic Party is extinguished on the national level, something we can reasonably see in our lifetimes, does it cease to exist officially, or does it have a legal claim to existence as long as it has a seat on a state or county or even municipal body? How will we know the Democrats went they way of the Whigs or Know-Nothings, when they are finally on the verge of dying off?

If a perfect world, the Democrat party will recede to irrelevance, being a far left whackado party competing for votes with the Greens. Then the Republican party will split between Conservatives and Libertarians that actually agree on the most important stuff, and we can have elections where losing doesn’t feel like the end of the world, and winning doesn’t feel like The Only Way to Save The Earth.

I have no doubt the Republicans would become top heavy and split, that’s exactly what happened to the Democratic Party in the first half of the 19th century. Was still mostly a one party system, but still produced competing agendas. Looks like we are heading back towards that.

It is what makes me laugh about Fixed Cross (actually Zizek’s) claim that the conservative Republicans as well as Evangelicals are dead, Trump defeated them. No- they aren’t gone forever, he made them part of his movement, are part of the ruling coalition now. They are hardly going to get weaker by getting more offices and representation. I’m kinda hpping Laura Ingraham as the new Press Secretary announces President Trump’s first Supreme Court pick, Ted Cruz, and letting everyone know Trump boight him just, the most amazing gym and personal trainer and cook,Ted Cruz will outlive most everyone… including you.

Just see how everyone reacts to that. No constitutional bar I ever found to a Canadian being on the Supreme Court.

I don’t think democrats are collapsed or even close to it - I do think people have said this same thing about the republican party periodically over the span of the Obama administration. Just suggestive of a time period of democrats having less power.

This might get me in trouble - Part of me wonders if the Trump election is just a natural swing back from the results of the last election (i.e… Is USA really ready to prove its no longer racist AND sexist? Remember slavery was outlawed decades before women could vote in the US). Liberal, progressive times to be… for lack of a better word… “corrected” or “diminished” by conservative times.

I think there is realistically a “conservative agenda” which will be pushed by means of additional legislation… which in my mind is contrary to true conservative principles of limited government. This is what I expect to happen

It use to be that moderate socialists or even traditional socialists existed as a platform in the beginning of ideological socialism. Nowadays there is no such thing as moderate or traditional socialism where instead there is only radical socialism in existence which is another word for Marxism. The democratic party has been infused with Marxism ideologically since the 1960’s. So yes, I have no problem describing the democratic party as being communist influenced or inspired. Also, check out the progressive caucus of the democratic party for reference.

It looks like the DNC is looking to accelerate their irrelevance by pulling even further to the left. They found one of the only Marxist Muslims on earth, and he’s the current favorite to lead their party.

I’m going to see if I can make my gif editor work to come out with a video supporting Nancy Pelosi. The nation really needs her leadership now. Hope you all back it and spread it to your friends on the net, we need to get the word out!
