Well, the second one works on time that humans have actually experienced, the first one works entirely on speculation. You tell me which is rational and which is faith…

let me just say that both work on what humans have experienced
Also… the first one is written in rocks and in the structure of life on planet earth…
While the second was passed through songs and tales by people who thought lightning comes from “the gods” and that stars were “little holes in the sky and that behind it layed a great fire” untill writting was invented… and then had the chance to be rewritten thousands of times to suit personal beliefs…
And I am sure that you would figure out all by yourself what a star really is? What seems like such a simple idea is a result of hundreds if not thousands of years of observation by human beings. To suggest that you would not fall into the same fallacious set of beliefs to explain the universe as did your distant ancestors would be arrogant of you. This also brings to mind the inherent racism that is part of evolutionary philosophy and the moral relativity that has so readily spread to every corner of the earth.

Alright, speculation that tends to be consistent with the evidence as measured scientifically… 
i would like to compare this comparison …
the ancient religious and the scientific explanation of a number of phenomena are both based on human perception, of course
the only difference is that the last is more systematic, methodic, massive and with better tools … thus, probably more accurate
i guess it’s the difference between knowing
- that when the sea pulls back that you should run into the hills
and knowing - that there’s been a huge disturbance on the bottom of the sea and that there’s a wave-movement pushing through the masses of water, lifting high up when it hits land (tsunami)
