Compassion vs consumption:

For those of you who have made love before:
You feel the warm body breathing. If you’ve read about medical things, you can probably imagine the organs inside. Its a feeling for a part of reality which there’s no use me trying to explain. Without empathy no love or pleasure can be shared and mutually understood at all.

For those of you who have killed someone or something before:
You see its eyes wide, if it is not too scared to scream then it may let out some sound of the emotion of terror. It’s body struggles but it’s held down and its most vital organs are cut or shot. It’s a feeling which is merely a statistic up antil compassion steps in.

Now on earth we have us the contrast.
Somebody can experience both of these.
But… can a body really become that much of an object in one person’s eyes, whilst being that sacred in another person’s eyes? Surely one of the two ideas is madness, because there are many bodies all around, each wanting to live, each wanting pleasure and safety, and each capable of pain.

So, I see it as a question of compassion vs consumption.
Do I understand, agree with and love this thing, or do I eat it and maybe only give a shit after around 8 hours of digestion?

Dan you have truly earned the title “philosopher” that will wreck my head for the rest of the day (though I’ll admit that “simple” binary oppositions can be a bit of a lawyers trap!).

One of the bits I loved about the first (and best?) Michael Moore film "Roger and Me" was the rabbits.
Remember the lady in the (more or less economically destroyed) town of Flint Mich. who is selling the ickle bunnies under the sign “pets or meat”

Obviously eating them keeps you alive but “keeping em” might give ya minimal spiritual nourishment…

Give me a single cloth garment, simple plants to eat, and all the love I can handle. I want to be spiritually nourished more-so. I want that underdeveloped fragment of pureness which I lost before I even knew what it was [in my childhood].

This damned system is a curse unto itself. It is a threat to itself, so it must build up more and more weapons to defend itself from itself. It must protect itself by destroying itself.

To protect their imperfect incompleteness
They build a defense
But that defense is also imperfect and incomplete,
Thus in many ways the defense becomes the calcification of the spiritual tumor.

They walk up and down endless miles of road, trying to find themself, and the only reason for that is: proof. They want proof. They want to be able to impress the incompetent mass. They want understanding where there is no proof. That is because the overly-conditional-love only targets itself upon what it can have proof of. It is an undercooked, half-baked spiritual meal, more like a suplimental tool.

Due to inner and outter duality, as humanity seems to have more and more progress outside, it is becoming more and more deformed inside. The thirst for conquest: divide and conquer. Cut it off and control it. But they do that to themselves, and are now using duality as the foundationalism for their language, their “mind” & their “heart”.

They want to control and take something, and then they loose everything. First they consider only one object to be their own property, thus they feel like they are no part of the infinity, and feel that their ego and “self” is somehow attached to the object [which they will squander and most-likely get tired of, anyways]. And this division has now lost all meaning. All meaning has been broken. It is the broken mirror of life, and each person has burred a tiny piece of that mirror in their back-yard, near their dead.
