Confessions of a Would Be Fabricator

I had a plan
It seemed beautiful.
I was going to fabricate some peer–reviewed journals of Intelligent Design.
Not to fool anyone who was paying attention or with any sense at all. Not for gain, either.
I was going to expose the weaknesses that I see in ID by having some absurd articles on various subjects that ID seems to imply but does not discuss, or has a self serving emphasis. And I knew of no such journal for ID, which is ridulous for a science.
This was not going to be malicious, my patron saint was going to be Jonathan Swift.
To finish off the plan, perfectionist that I am, I did some extra research before going foreward. And guess what?
I found that there was a peer reviewed journal of ID. One. I didn’t find any more. Maybe they exist, but I didn’t see any more.
I didn’t think much of its editorial process, not really strict enough for my taste, but it existed. It is a start.
And that is good enough for me.
Whatever disagreements I have with ID, it has to play out its attempt at science, for better or worse.
Ruined my joke, though…

Do you have a link to it? I’m morbidly curious.

Here it is:

As I’ve pointed out before: the philosophy behind Intelligent Design predates Christianity (let alone Darwinism). But we needn’t get into this…

And the idea of blood sacrifice and ‘doing unto others’ predate Christianity, that doesn’t invalidate their role in Christianity. Similarly, ID has been co-opted by Christians – there are very few non-theistic ID-ists. Whatever its origins it is, at present, mostly a Christian philosophy.
