Sean Connery is an arsehole.

I kinda like that. What’s wrong with that? Is that a poster, or an ad? I kinda like it. Still the best Bond.
When I went to see Michael Moore, I yelled out, “Michael Moore – Best Bond ever!” It took him a minute to regain his composure because he almost cracked up.
I figure he gets heckled enough that a really good one will stand out in his mind. Make it worth his while, you know?
Christ mentions that Pierce Brosnan is the definitive James Bond.
Daniel Craig is Bond, the James Bond. All others were soft and just unbelievable…

“How did he die?”
“Not well”
Nah, they were fantastic and great, Daniel Craig as bond is makes for a decent bond with a twist but its lost much of its spark now that it’s more gritty, dull and “realistic”.
That’s more like the original novels. The inventive action sequences and posh-comic dialogue was very much something they added to the movies in the first place, in part to help sell that image of Englishness to the Americans.
Connery had what Craig doesn’t - an ability to be sexually magnetic to almost all women. Craig is too unusual (sexy in his own way yes), but then i guess the whole point of bond is to be a spy (obviously) and a good spy would be one who would be as average looking as possible so as not to stick out like a sore thumb. Although all bonds seem to be well known by the entire criminal world in teh films anwyay… so it doesn’t matter…
I loved the old cheesy bond movies - roger moore, it was wonderfully silly. I actually quite liked tim dalton as bond too. they all have their own appeal. Craig is definitely very brutal (apart from the pouting) -and that of course is what the written bond was.
Personally I think Gerard Butler would make a great bond, as i know that he’s a womanizer in real life… Plus he’s got a bit of sean connery going on about him methinks. Plus he’s a wonderfully hammy actor, which should be a prerequisite for bonds… lol
