Import from some third world type of place, as they’ll sell you large amounts of raw resources for peanuts.
Put it into a factory, turn it into all kinds of crazy shit that we don’t really need.
Sell it rapidly, make sure it wares out in a few years so that people have to buy more.
Capitalism is what kills the earth.
Pollution is coming from the big factories and the waste is part of the economic method.
Profit can only happen when you make a gain of some kind, ae : ripping somebody off somehow,
So the whole WHOLE thing is crooked.
Capitalism disrupts the balance in nature aswel as the balance of resources, authority, intelligences, etc.
The main appeal of the whole system is that it’s stupid.
If it’s stupid, allot of people can really do it.
Capitalism is democratic, because democracy is about what large numbers of stupid people do.
To kill capitalism we must also kill democracy,
And to kill democracy we would need to kill large numbers of stupid people.
#1: Develop a method which can accurately detect the amount of intelligence, wisdom, stupidity, etc. in a large number of people. Then record the intelligence of each, aswel as where they live, name address bla bla bla. #2: Use all of the fake capital, make allot by printing it out in mints. It’s paper but these morons are willing to kill and die for it. So, that’s the key here. Use all that money, to hire all of the smart people. Hire them to develop a super technology thing which can kill allot of people all at once. #3: Use the big super kill technology to kill all of the stupid people on the list of idiots. Take all of their belongings, sell them for cheap at thrift shops and on the taliban. #4: By the time this is over you’ll be really rich because so many people will be dead that there will be tons of loot everywhere. Pile it up in a big stash, lots of cars and trucks and gold. Hide it somewhere secret so that nobody else can take it from you. As you do this there will be so much that you can’t store it all, and you’ll die of old age soon.
There never has been anything but capitalism regardless of what it is called. All forms of trade and commerce are rooted in making a profit, and it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference what label is attached to it. Granted, modern capitalism has culminated in a perverse, bloated, exaggerated nightmare. So did communism and every other form of capitalism. It is, and always has been, a giant game of musical chairs. Buy low, sell high. Someone is always getting the short end of the stick.
I’m not sure that there is a balance in nature except at the cosmic level, and we can only see balance because we don’t know enough to say one way or the other. Does capitalism exacerbate the destructiveness of humans? Yes. But we’ve been doing that for thousands of years. We’re just beginning to see the ultimate consequences as world population grows and competes for ever more scarce resources.
I agree with Tentative in that regardless of labels, people have a tendency to exploit others. It all boils down to what I think is the case. In my opinion, there isn’t enough stuff for everyone in the world to have what they need. If you don’t agree with that, then consider that some people feel as though they need a surplus of some things which everyone needs and in having it deprive others. Too many people + not enough stuff = exploitation. That’s my version of economics in a nutshell.
What do we know about stupid people? They’re stupid for one.
They want what they see.
Let’s use that. Give them something they want…
People might like easy answers… Like the kind they use in mass suicide cults.
Natural selection at it’s finest huh? MAss suicide cults can clean away the the weak minded underfilth of our nation and we can proceed to me an overall more rational nation.
But crap. Since we cleaned away the underfilth all that’s left is the regular filth… US.
Our superior logic skills have given way to more and more complex criminal fronts as technology is developed primarily for use as weapons and the earth endures years and years of gerilla warfare with the constant threat of a chain reaction nuclear attack which would wipe out the entire earth…
The smart people trick the dumb people into being slaves so that the msart people can relax.
People are not innately good.
People want what the see and they take what they want.
add monkey see monkey do to the equation and you’ve got yourself a terrible and terribly amusing fun house of monkeys.
This sounds simple, but we seem to forget that all living entities are extractors. We take from the environment more energy than we return. That humans are at the top of the extractor pyramid is obvious. Are we destroying the earth? Not yet. I don’t see it happening because at some point, there has to be a significant die-back. Like all living things, when we outstrip the means of survival, we die. Is capitalism the big problem? It doesn’t help, but humans are great at finding shortcuts, and regardless the system, all are designed to help us find those shortcuts. That someone has to lose in the game is expected and accepted. It isn’t about being malicious, it is about not caring.
Thinking about the eighties where we firmly and bolding established the dictum: Fuck you, I’ve got mine, you get yours. Can we ever get past this? Doubtful. What we see now is just the latest refinement of a thousands of years old game.
In many ways, we could almost say that it is a primordial instinct. All things living seek advantage by inherent design. To survive and reproduce is first and foremost. We will seek any advantage than insures this. The problem is that the process has no off switch -even to the point of blindly running over the edge of the cliff.
the 1480’s? no, they had perfect communism then… who needs a trade route… roses be damned
the 1580’s? no, they had perfect communism then too… who needs to circumnavigate the globe… 80 years war? 30 years war? ha!
the 1680’s? no, they had perfect communism then between witch trials… english civil war? ha!
the 1780’s? no, they had perfect communism then between revolutions and indian wars…
the 1880’s? no, they had perfect communism then after the civil war and gold rush… boers be damned…
oh you must mean the 1980’s was the only period in history in which the greedy nature of humans ever appeared.
I see an army of capitalists crushing the socialists into worm food.
I know you’re in an endless loop, but this isn’t commentary on liberal vs conservative. We’re moving into a time where those distinctions are of little or no importance. We aren’t going to go right or left. We’re going to go to the middle - not because we want to, but because we haven’t any other choice. The problem with revolution at this point, is that the revolution will kill the revolutionist right along with those they wish to kill. We’re about to find out we’re all in the soup and we’d damn well better begin covering each other’s ass, because if we don’t, we all go down. Capitalists are in danger of killing the goose, and if they do, they kill themselves as well.
Nah, I didn’t miss anything. Imp and I have gone around many times, and we know each other’s postions well enough. He might be right, but I’ll be damned if I give in to that.
