One of my favourite past-times: Going through my Nietzsche books and correcting the translations here and there. Of course, I don’t know a word of German nor have I ever seen the German texts, but that doesn’t matter.
what is the difference between a ‘good’ and a ‘poor’ translation when we don’t even know the original language of the text?
crisper lines in which to color

In the case of Nietzsche’s later books, poor translations mislead as to the truth. Simple as that.
I have the same problem with Werklempter, as I am the only translator of his works into english, and I speak no german.
So what language are you translating it from?
German. That’s the problem.
LOL. Good luck.
you seem to live in a very simple world, Imp.

German. That’s the problem.
Ich kenne einige Wörter in Deutsch. Ok, Ich finde die Sprache schwer, aber sie ist auch unglaublich schön.
I know some words in German. Ok, I think the language is difficult, but it’s incredibly beautiful too.
