I was suppose to explain what art is. I disagree with the book and I wrote my own “thing”. I want to be able to reply intelligently when my teacher critiques this (and he will ravage it im sure).
Art is based on good and evil.
Art is narrative.
Good and evil are words that describe the isometric forces of narrative, and can be applied to all narratives.
If a narrative of good is divided into parts each new narrative remains balanced.
If a narrative of good is expanded upon it does not change its entirety.
If a narrative of evil is divided into parts each strives to consume the others.
If a narrative of evil is expanded upon its entirety changes.
In this way “Good†is (narratively) isometrically balanced; evil is imbalanced.
Imbalance denotes the perception of a lack.
The perception of a lack denotes consumption.
Good is self sustaining; evil is consuming.
Emotion is only the perception of isometric dissonance.
All emotion is evil (because it’s imbalanced); the only good emotion is contentment (not to be confused with pleasure), which is actually the lack of emotion.
Art is any narrative (denoting isometric force) expressed through a medium that can be perceived by the senses.
The narrative perceived stimulates an emotionally reaction similarly dissonant.
