Custom User Titles?

Say, fellows:

How do I create my custom user-title—I’ve seen a user-title under a few of the members, but I can’t figure out how to make mine.

Any help? Thanks!

wait until you make 500 posts. Then send a moderator a request. That’s about it. Also your 500 posts, well… let’s just say you can’t spam to get them. Activly participate and wait.

Also about being a psych. for the Navy. Good luck. You’ll be able to do it. I know plenty of Sailors.

Oh dear. I just read in another thread that all I had to do was simply ask ben to create a user-title for me, and that was it.

I just finished PM-ing him to do just that. I didn’t realixe you had to have a certain post-count, but I guess that makes sense.

I haven’t totaly made my mind up about joining the Navy, but that’s where I’m focusing all my efforts on right now. I’ll either join as a Pyschologist or possibly a member of the Constructive-Battalion.

Say, you’re a soldier yourself, Right?

sorry to give you bum scoop… I was under the impression that you needed a certain post count. my bad.

you could call me a soldier if I was in the Army.

Other than that, I’m a Marine. Us Marines are sort of picky about it. We have fun making fun of the other departments, but its all in good fun.

ARMY stands for Aint Ready to be Marines Yet
NAVY stands for Never Again Volunteer Yourself
MARINE stands for My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment
Air Force… … … well, god forbid the safety of the States falls on top of the fly boys. LOL

But yeah, I’m in the military.

Read my essay about it here.

A Marine? That’s even better–It takes a LOT to be a Marine (but hey, I’m not telling you anything new)!

No big deal about the post-cout-usertitle issue.

Thanks!

BTW:
Please check your PM-box! Thanks!

Just curious----What’s your rank in the Marines? Thanks!

standing in a Napolean stance

I’m the freaking General!!!

j/k dude.

I’m a Lance Corporal, and E3 paygrade. I joined in December of 2001. And thus far I’ve only been, besides the U.S., to Kuwait, Iraq, and Spain.
But I go to Japan in August. In the navy I would be known as a seaman. In the Air Force they would call me an Airman. In the army I’ll be a Private First Class (PFC). In Star Trek I wouldn’t have a rank. The Federation doesn’t have enlisted.

In approximitly two months or so I should pick up the outstanding rank of Corporal. Then I cross the threshold of being an NCO. A big thing for Marines because then I rate to wear the Montezuma Blood Stripe on my Dress Blues.

see the red stripes on their pants. You only rate it if you are a Corporal and above. It represents all the Marines that died in the battle of Chapaltepec. Basicily the story is that three platoons (187+ Marines) went to fight in Mexico in the 19th century. Well only 18 made it out, but they won the battle.

And I rate the NCO sword. Marines are the only armed forces in the world whose enlisted NCO’s are allowed by their government to carry a sword

I know, but I want that sword!

But guess what, I heard somewhere that the sword is NOT battleworthy. So, that makes me feel a little better.

But, on a more serious not:
Say, I think my chance of getting promoted from E1 to E2 are a lot higher if I refer some one to the Navy (after I’ve joined) and they join.

removes hat, salutes once more to Lance-Corporal “Smooth”–out of respect

BMW-Guy: FUCKER! Hit the damn edit button, you’re annoying!

My grandfather was a Marine. He was the special forces of his time. Fought in Guadalcanal. Story my mother tells me is that she found out what division and whatever else it is to tell you where a guy was in the war… and she gave it to a WW2 historian… and the guy immediately stood up, shook my mother’s hand, and said, “Ma’am, tell your Father I thank him and that he is a true hero.”

My grandfather can’t talk about the war though. He’ll talk about the transport ships…and the men “fiddlin’ with each other in their skivies” in order to get out of the war…but no talk about the battles.

I have much respect for the Marines and always will. I know they’re not quite as specialized as they used to be, but nonetheless, they have a tradition that makes every man who joins a hero in my opinion. But…I’m biased, I guess shrugs

I agree totally with you. So, Where are we disagreeing?

I was referencing the fact that you…

…post twice instead of editing your last post.

your sig is messing with my mind Rafa. especcially while I’m dusted and the image is of the original. I’m tripping out…
