Dan’s paradigm for truth:

"1 : The truth should be impersonal.

2 : Don’t fight for or die for the truth.

3 : The truth has been here before you were born, and will exist long after you are dead. Seeing the truth and knowing the truth, is simply a form of personal capacity.

4 : You can’t change the truth, so you can’t fight it, so you don’t need to try to control it."

All “truths” are personal interpretations of an awful and uncomprehensible reality.

This means that this word DOES make sense, of course, because if there weren’t something which was really TRUE, even interepretations would be impossible.

We just have to try to guess what the hell it is.

This history of the word:

  • I’ve looked in dictionaries, and I see words like “conformity”, “reality”, “meaning”, “fidelity to an original standard”… “sincerity in action, character and utterance.” I am desturbed slightly, to find how personal and opinion/word-based “truth” is in civilization. If the truth is so personal, then it is also going to become untrue the moment it does not fit into our personal and strongest desire.

Dieing and fighting for the truth that you did not create and was only descovered by you – equates to defeding and invincible God and giving to a God that needs nothing. This equates to pure loss, singularity evil, zero point, anti-poles.

When scientists descovered the atom, and things like electrons – this was truth. Truth and fact always existed, but eventaully these scientists were able to understand and observe the atoms and electrons. This helped them deal with their environment better, because they understood their environment better.

These scientists did not have to die for the atomic truth! These scientists did not need to defend and preserve the existence of atoms, because atoms were there before and after their human lives!

People who search for the sake of fulfilling their expectation – instead of searching for the sake of understanding, these people will never find truth, but instead they will constantly be trying to fight with and control/ignore facts.

I will not fight in a war to “defend” my country, I’ll leave instead. I wont die for God. I will preform immoral acts if it is healthy for me. I don’t need to persuade or prove anything to anymore, unless they force me to by becoming a danger to me.

God singularity claims that there is only 1 ultimate truth/meaning of life; this is evil-math!
Science and research is experience. Experience is empirical. Experience is effect, environment is cause. When we intereact with the world, we keep part of the world in data format, which is effect, and the world, which is cause, will always exist.

All lies, misconception and confusion is evil-singularity. It is one sided, biased, and does not understand itself because it can only compare itself to itself instead of being able to compare itself to opposite and unique poles.

yes your paradigm is good, except i believe that you should fight and die for the truth, however the thing is your never gonna get to that point, if you do then hell, fight for it, even die for it.

but you must admit that this ‘impersonal’, universal, and ultimate truth is most definitely unattainable.

Our being alive is a fact. Our actual inventing of a lie in our mind – is an existent thing, but only in information format. Our dreams are when we take facts then try to alter them. Trying to change reality in a possible and fruitful way, is “possability”, trying to change reality in an impossible and impractical way is “lie”.

Original pure facts are like elements, and understanding of them means we can start to effect them. Still, no one has to die for any kind of fact, other then their own weakness/imperfect repair.

I don’t think that learning never causes action. When we learn facts, this is not actually the use of facts, and we don’t have to do anything for these facts, but reaction and application are will for change, and this is what those of us live and die “for”.

There is no “ultimate truth” – just a mass of raw resources and elements known as “facts”. As our methods of application advance, we gain the ability to build and change things.

“The truth” – as if there was only one? Considering the size of the universe, I’d say that “the truth” can’t be found, especially if we don’t know what we are looking for, but we already have allot of facts in our minds that we use every day for living and acting.

Well, learning is part of mental growth, and growth is one of the main meanings of life, so “you have to” is basically a true statement.

Often we choose to die for facts. How many gave their lives searching out the source of the Nile? I’d speculate it is quite a few.

Interesting story:

I sort of feel that you are contradicting yourself. You seem to be placing value on truth and facts, but then you say one ought not to fight or die for it.

I’m sort of a sucker for Richard Burton and Richard Byrd adventure types. Maybe I’m missing the point?

i’ll propose a counterarguement for the sake of it.

God as the dictionary defines it and as most religious traditions define it, is ‘ultimate truth’.

now I have dropped the idea that there is a God, so instead i choose to view God as our entire (infinite) universe.-The Universe is God-. now in order to obtain ultimate truth you must fully understand God then you can understand ultimate truth.

So ultimate truth would be to completely understand our universe. To Reach The Pinnacle Of Understanding With Continued Research In Physics And Quantam Physics. until one day finally…we get it.

I am more then willing to “contradict” myself.

I am strong and weak. I am smart and dumb. I am good and bad.

Full truths contain both poles.

We don’t die for “the truth” – we use it to try to build human lives throughout time.

Or you could preserve your body using some sort of cryonics or chemical solution, so that later on if humanity is capable of repairing and resusitating these sorts of bodies, you can be brought back to life in a far more advanced age of technology, and finally see “the truth” unfold rapidly during the later periods of an expotential information age.
