I think there is both decadent and non-decadent love. Each situation is different. We could love an evil thing or person, or we could love the bare necessities, or we could love allot of things.
Kris you are in the process of creating a dysotopian view on things, something alike 1984, Equlibrilium/Cubicle and all such “Big Brother” movies where humans are suppressed. Your view is even far worse than what communism and it’s horrors could ever do.

The solution to decadence is…transcendence.
The european enlightenment already proves this fact. Societies grow ripe, then too ripe, then spoiled, then decay, then rotting. Transcendence is the recycling process. From decay, we use this fertilizer, this shit, this feces, to plant a new crop, and begin anew. Even shit is useful, sometimes.

No, but I appreciate informing me about this, it is Japan after all, so unsurprising. The Japanese are even more non cultured and anti cultured than u.s.
Japanese, after being defeated, decimated, and humiliated by u.s. has lost much of their culture, called into doubt and nihilism. They look up to u.s. They want u.s. to lead them, into a new culture, a revitalization. Their problem is very much similar to u.s. problem. Their nihilism reflects our own. Their willingness to eat their own feces, vulgar as it maybe, reflects all too well u.s. own moral and cultural decay.
But there are enemies in the midst. What do the chinese think of japan eating their own feces? Don’t they laugh and mock them? Don’t they grin widely and feel morally superior? America has enemies too. Humans feed off of weakness of each other.
One man’s weakness is another man’s strength. That said, I feel that u.s. is obligated to Japan. We humiliated, took their pride, but left part of that pride intact, their Emperor and caste system is still intact. Therefore, there is hope. The japanese nobility, aristocracy, and emperor should be restored to cultural power. Americans should help Japan find their pride once again, raise it higher, through a cultural leadership.
If America cannot have a royalty, doesn’t mean that Japan cannot. The u.s. monarchists and imperialists should look west for relocating these cultural energies. There is hope in japan, and few choices elsewhere to redirect this hope. Most cultures and nations around the world are too ingrained with the old world, stagnant, unchangeable attitude.
Humans are animals. You are an animal. Don’t live your life in denial.
Never thought of myself as an animal, may as well get down to all fours and growl. Then why did they invent the word human? At least whoever thought that up may at least have thiught of himself as potentially more than just a thoughtless, imaginationless, mindless beast, who dragged his female counterpart into a cave for mating? After all he had the sense to draw pictures of animals on the cave,something the animal couldn’t have prided itself with?

That is the kind of thing that I consider as the higher morality. We realize everything is shit but that shit is flexible and can be transformed into something good and useful.
