This civilization couldn’t exist without hatred, fear, and jealousy.
That’s precisely the way it is and always has been.
Those of you who say that you’re above all of that, don’t kid yourselves.
Who said we were above it?
Perhaps that’s the problem, “This civilization”.
That’s what all you sanctimonious pied pipers would have everybody else believe anyways.

Perhaps that’s the problem, “This civilization”.
When you look at the complete corruption, hypocrisy, and general mass hysteria of all religions this civilization is a perfect extension or projection of them.
So however it has always been is how it must always be??
…kind of a lazy self-defeating attitude, don’t you think?

I don’t try to sell or give people hope. That duty is for the snake oil salesmen known as priests or politicians.
This world gets the civilization that it deserves. Ponder on that.

Leaving judgment up to someone else (notably insane)?
Guess where that gets You.

Come again. Be more in depth please. I don’t do well with vague references.

Ponder on That part.
It deserves the result of all participants. If one doesn’t participate in a solution, the solution can’t be expected regardless of what anyone else is doing. And when left up to morons to control, intelligent people keep getting abused for some odd reason… maybe they need to be more than merely intelligent… perhaps wiser.

Obviously you have not read this thread.
Hatred is a disease of the ego.

Hatred is a disease of the ego.
I would tend to agree with that. / dis…ease
In psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness. More recently, the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology defines hate as a "deep, enduring, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger, and hostility towards a person, group, or object."Because hatred is believed to be long-lasting, many psychologists consider it to be more of an attitude or disposition than a temporary emotional state.

I agree with the above definitions. Freud got it right. Hate is attitude and/or dispositional. It is dis. . .ease of the Ego.

yes…I like that part about wanting to destroy the source of ego unhappiness usually projected on others…
Yes, I stumbled across the definition and I like it too. I generally don’t like Freud but I think he got it right this time.
And yes, Turtle, we generally project it onto others (hence why I am struggling with my siblings at the moment).
So if it is not an emotion but a disposition (a dis… ease) then all I need to too is change my disposition (easier said than done).

My Affectance Ontology has “a hatred” as a “a negative mental particle”, a psychological entity of mass or matter, of significance and concentrated affectance (strong passion). To dispel a particle requires control of its ambience, impedance matching, and the insertion of its antithesis (in this case, a love). These are what are currently being used to convert national cultures to their opposite, such as the USA.
