Who in the world was she? I would forfeit all material wealth to once speak to her; nay, even just seeing her again would be enough. I was rude, and ignored a being that I should have shown myself to be in awe of. I was electrified by the sight of her, but shyness, like a damp cloth, suppressed the fire of my instant affection and forced me into self pitying seclusion. Retreat from the field of glory. It was a fleeting flame, yes, but it nevertheless seared me when I failed to act upon it, leaving me crippled and able only to supplicate before God for a second chance.
A dream, perhaps, but one which I deeply fear will haunt my very soul and pinch the scabs of my slowly healing self-esteem.
Girls are human beings just like guys. Treat them as such. Do not treat them as objects to be ogled, AND do not put them on a pedestal to be admired from afar. They want the same thing you want: someone to share life with. Once you understand this, the drama associated with boy-girl relationships will disappear like a mirage.
well i am a female and i gotta say, that while the pedestal is nice upon occassion, you guys are correct. we’re the same as you guys, looking (in the end) for the same kinds of relaitonships as you.
i know and all females i know agree, that an honest person is awesome. just go up to her and say it out loud. ‘i like you’ or ‘your an amazing person’. i takes guts, a lot of guts but dont be afraid of falling.
if i like a guy, i say so out loud, none of this admiring from afar crap. its a waste of time.
