If we were created by a god or the highest God, we would be made of its energy. We would be sons and daughters of god. We would retain values and qualities of our source. Instead it seems that in nature, humans are very non god-like. They are like anti-gods. The base world expresses vast power, harmony and complexity, but it also contains weakness and foolishness. Despite this all, I choose to have faith in the idea that we contain the blood of our maker, and can eventually become more like our Father. It’s a matter of the soul and infinite time.
You could Think of some of us as precancerous cells in a breast or a dyspeptic stomach or a plantar’s wart. That could seem sarcastic, but its not intended that way. Perhaps a network of neurons that fires a bit spasmodically.
I’m certain we are more-so energy beings than we are arrangements of cells.
The jehovah’s witnesses teach we don’t have a soul, but I think the soul is real, and it is a subject in the abrahamic tradition. When I refer to the soul, I refer to unified living energy, nothing really other than that. It is indestructible but not immortal. It comes from the source of all beings, and it is meant to return up stream, up the river.
I absolutely agree. I meant is as a metaphor.
I haven’t decided about this part.
Why not Embrace both your Evilness and Divinity?
Just think about it? If mankind was made in the image of God, - and God operates off a hypocritical and paradoxical paradigm, - this means that we can grow in both Holiness and Evilness at the same Time. Indeed, - these tend to happen concurrently. Indeed, - as Holy power grows, the individual’s Evilness also increases.
It doesn’t Really matter if it’s actually a Real transformation, - or just the illusion of re-channeled energies, or something else, - the point is. It feels Awesome to exalt Yourself, - Just like God feels Awesome about exalting Himself.
You obviously have a very different definition of that word “evil”, compared to me.
What’s your Point?
We are star stuff. We come from star stuff. That is our divine ancestry whether or not we want to use the word 'divine" - we are star stuff, created energy from the furthest furthest furthest furthest back first cause there ever was.
Agree.
If God is within us, a part of our composition, that would require recognition of conscience as divine. Is conscience divine and innate or is it taught? “Bring up a child in the way he should go” would be parenting by giving reminders. If we believe Socrates asking the right questions will evoke the inner knowing.
In occult theory they believe usually in a divine seed within the person’s body or soul or both. The people that don’t think there is a divine seed, still think there is a source of strength and goodness inside a person. Maybe not goodness, but strength. Also the whole divine vs innate thing I think is an unnecissary division/dualization of it. It’s not dual. We are a part of a unified single high divine source. Its blood is in us and is not abscent.
I agree totally.
all stories are made up by humans…
But some work better than others toward understanding.
which one do you like the best…
Turtle,
I like Dan’s story. I’m into complementations and see dualism as an error in thinking.

why is that so important to you…

Good morning, Ierrellus.
I said this:

That doesn’t necessarily mean that I think we are divine in the sense that people use it. Perhaps like consciousness, that is something which we grow into or more perhaps ~ flow in and out of… perhaps the way in which some part of me may take on some characteristic of a tree which I might sit before and ponder. It might instill presence and strength and quietude within me. That does linger within for awhile.
I think that conscience may be partly innate. I think it has more to do with our individual natures. One cannot get blood out of a stone. Perhaps a conscience can be partly taught, learning the difference between what is good and bad and also the ability to see those gray areas. Perhaps empathy and compassion are also kind of innate within us, to different degrees…some have more and some have less and some have none. But whether or not someone can apply it or practice it is up to one’s nature ~ no?
“Bring up a child in the way he should go” would be parenting by giving reminders
That’s it? For instance, what does that entail…giving reminders? For example?
But what is Divine?
Thinking and feeling and conducting ourselves in a way which is far far beyond and above our humanity but at the same time, what makes us more fully and beautiful humans?
What IS Divine?

divine is our good side…human nature not something from god
