Everyone suffer, we know that suffering is universal and one, hence let me say the unconditioned mind is one, then why do we divide ourselves…me and you, my family and your family, my country and your country ???
is it this difference of opinions and division we have created that is creating havoc and chaos. Can we not accept the fact that the psychology of humanity is one ??? … ‘People think differently because of their conditioning and the upbringing’, but the source subconsciously is the same. I also say that the individual is part of the whole but tries to look at the whole from the outside…CAN WE END SUFFERING ??? OF COURSE YES, WE ARE THE ONES WHO CREATED IT.
Now about individualistic thought which on the outset clearly means to demarcate oneself, but the perspective with which we clearly deal with individualism is rather a result of mulish obstinacy, we cannot deny this fact eventhough we stubbornly reject this notion.
Individualism by itself is of no pertinence but associative individualism i.e individualism provocated by societal influence is significantly impoverished of consciousness. Individualism is now literally in conjecture with division.
Can we be an individual and also in perfect harmony with the society ??
Can this individualistic way of life not contradict with the psychological aspect, the fact being that only our conditioning has made us an individual whereas we aint any different ??
Did racist/ethnic thought stem from individualistic notion ???
Of course we can, we just eradicate the word ‘suffering’ and any other word close to this abstract concept from language. With no word to denote ‘suffering’, it cannot exist.
I don’t think so. “Individualism” works of the notion of difference, meaning, we make assumptions about ourselves based on constantly comparing ourselves to others. Therefore, for perfect harmony to exist, we have to cease comparing ourselves to others, which in turn destroys individualism.
Depends entirely on our conceptions of ‘an individual’. Given the present popular modes of ‘an individual’, which amount to little more than economic demarcations, no, perfect harmony with ‘the society’ is not possible.
A more pertinent question for me is why we conceive of ‘the individual’ as a whole entity. Why not half a person? why not 6.2 people? (as the basic unit of a population)
There is no obvious reason for this, beyond grammatical habits and Descartes’ mistakes.
No, racist thought and actions derive from herd mentalities. While individualism can be a herd mentality (indeed, this is what Nietzsche implies lots of time but never actually says, from my reading), our sort of racism doesn’t have a lot to do with that.
but are the differences(vaguely said) between the individual and the Society that which is diminishing every possibility of perfect harmony inherent in the human nature or is it the manifestation of a soul distraught with the society… which would mean we all dont agree with the society but believe in the fact that we are the society…
