Do any of you have doctorates from Barnes & Noble?

I think so!

This is just the job description for “bookseller.” Anyone else besides myself and TheAdlerian attend this prestigious university?

I bought a book from B&N once, does that count?

Actually, I worked at B&N for almost 5 years, the last
3 as an assistant manager for a very small store.
Does that count?

Kropotkin

I’m prettty sure that I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars on books. I’ve always enjoyed Borders myself, though.

That probably does rival the price of a college degree, and it can be more enjoyable at that.

I’m hoping to get one in the future from Indigo (big chain bookstore in Canada), hopefully in the future

I love book stores; they always fill me with hope.

Then you’ve obviously never glanced through this.

Now that’s a good read.

I’d only use the term “reading” for books that actually have words in them

It’s still probably better than most TV.

The two are not mutually exclusive. i buy about 10-15 books per term that are “unrelated” to the class but very much related to my papers.
Thanks to a good school library, though, i get to read the books before buying them (10 week checkout from one of the libraries, entire term checkout for the other). Currently, that’s 20 books checked out…and i need to get 3 more tonight. Glad i have a 300 book limit.

My gods, do you attend the school of Lotzafocinbuks?

Nope. It’s the university of Payloansfodarestoyouslives.

Ahh… I avoided that one. Although I hear it’s a good college.

Edit: P.S. I think your sig needs to meet my sig.

You’d like to think that wouldn’t you, but you need to read between the picture to get the true sense of the author’s intent. Just look closely, really closely.

Being that they both reside in Denver, CO, that is possible.

I prefer books with pictures. Reading is for phonies.
