Do Fact Oriented Politics Roboticize Society?

Facts are either something you like and act on or you don’t. They’re either practical or they’re not from what you feel.

Feelings are externally programmed from our genes, hormones, and neurology.

Robots are similarly externally programmed although the particular physical form of programming is different.

Therefore, fact-oriented politics are no different from living among robots. The only way to deny this is by being prejudiced towards particular physical forms.

Anyone anthropocentric enough to counter?

Or a combination.

False dichotomy.

…and psychology/social-engineering/education.

Depends on the level of robotics.

Non-sequitor.

Oh… I wouldn’t rush to judgment on that.

I take it that your intention was to proclaim that a human is merely a machine.
My response to that is, “So what?”

What do you think that changes?
Have you considered the total insanity of creating a species of life (an advanced android) that is so superior to you that it can’t envision you as any more than a small animal or a germ?

You might want to consider the source of your apparent incentives.

OK. If you really want to get nit picky, a fact in a situation is something you either act on or you don’t.

Different programs can apply towards different facts in different situations, so let’s remove the gray area by taking them one at a time.

That’s circular. Social-engineering or education would be fact oriented from time zero.

Escaping programming would be an illusion from naivete of previous programming.

I’m implying that politics have to be oriented aside from facts (such as by values) in order for society to be more that a conglomerate of robots.

Haha… excuse me??
I guess you have never heard the concept of DECEPTION?

And I take it that you believe in an ontology of “obvious facts”?
…would be a hard thing to defend around these parts.

Irrelevant.

Wow… I would never have guessed that was your message.
…but then again, I’m still not certain what that actually meant… :-k

It seems that you are saying that politicians should lie more else people will become robots…??

Hahaha… hmmm…

Sorry, I’m really baffled by what you’re trying to say here.

On one hand, you claim I’ve never heard of deception.

On the other, you claim my statement of escaping programming being an illusion is irrelevant.

Lastly, I’m not sure you’re familiar with the fact-value dichotomy. If anything, politicians lie already by referring to irrelevant facts that distract from the topic at hand.
