Do I have to? What happens if I don’t?
your front teeth crowd together if you don’t have the room in your mouth
-Imp
its true… i was supposed to get my molars out three years ago, at which point i started chewing tobacco and haven’t been back. alas.
the two front ones came out a bit, and the two side ones in a bit… but it will add character to your face, like mine.
What are you talking about? Baby teeth? …or “wisdom teeth”?
Do you suppose I’m 5 ?
yes… I am under the impression that you are around 14 and need a mom. Pm me and I will give you all the advice you will ever need. As a matter of fact, if you pay me minimum wage, I will consider getting on your nerves. Email me for my paypal account.
When I was a kid, I had to have twelve teeth removed - eight of which were still unexposed. My jaw wasn’t big enough. I kept them for years in a test tube. I suspect that my mother threw them out when I wasn’t looking.
I guess no one can say I have a big mouth.
PG - You don’t need perfect teeth. But you don’t need a lot of unnecessary oral pain, either. Let you conscience be your guide.
We all have plenty of room in our mouths for our foot, but removing wisdom teeth allows space for the rest of your teeth to be in alignment, which over a life time, means fewer problems. Given that I haven’t heard anyone proclaim to be a doctor of dentistry, I would suggest visiting a good dentist and asking for explanations before making decisions. I’m not a dentist, but I paid for a new car for mine…
Moi aussie, mon ami. I have the appetite of an Italian, and the mouth of an Englishman.
Do I have to? What happens if I don’t?
Yes, or you die! or something like that.
I would sincerely recommend it – the younger the better!
This is my cautionary tale:
My father is a gigantic man (he towers at close to seven feet) and I managed to inherit his mouth so I was told that I didn’t need to have my wisdom teeth removed. Sweet, I thought to myself, I don’t need to go through the pain and trouble of that whole thing.
Wait a few years. Then: Blinding Pain. I cannot describe it. My wisdom teeth had created a small cavity in the back of my mouth where bits of food accumulated. Since I have terrible gums anyway (another story entirely) I just brushed the offending area, bleeding terribly, ripping it open, until a piece of small white corruption left my mouth. As it turned out, because of the situation I now had a raging bone infection. Had I waited any longer, I would have had part of my jaw removed but thanks to the wonder of antibiotics (lots of antibiotics) and a quick removal of the offending teeth I’m OK.
But I lost my job. I didn’t think I would be, you know, out of work for the period of time that recovering from wisdom teeth removal takes. Heck, I didn’t even know that was what was going to happen when I went to the Dentist’s! So I had to e-mail my boss . . .
Yeah, didn’t go over too well.
Do it young, when there are less important things on your plate.
PG,
Honestly I never gave you a straight answer, so here goes. Should you?
Yes.

Hope the site helps you.
Hi,
Ooh good website Bess.
If we are talking about wisdom teeth then (apparently) there are a few typical reasons why you would have them removed (according to the NHS that is).
-
The wisdom teeth have a little bit of gum over them and so are prone to infection. If they get infected more than three times in a year you should have them removed.
-
If the teeth are growing out at an angle and pushing into the tooth infront, makes it impossible to brush and so will start to decay or cause other problems.
-
There is a study that suggests that crowding of teeth is not caused by wisdom teeth. Take it or leave it, it’s not conclusive.
And how do I know all this?
I live with a dentist
