If you were beaten day in and day out as a child would that have to
leave an impact on you for the rest of your life? Would it be impossible for you to go through that and come out of it and say “Yeah, I was beaten and had no control over it, oh well.” , and then just forget about it like it never happened?
Life is like a recipe for a cake, only with thousands and thousands of ingredients or maybe just a few and of unknown amounts. Said ingredients can put an accent on the taste of the cake. If one puts a tiny bit of pepper and three spoon fulls of sugar and cinnamon in the creation, then the pepper will be lost, and vice versa.
So, trauma needs to have other experiences to even it out.
i think im a cake with 3/4 of a cup of salt in it. hence the bitterness.
No, Adler, life is more like a scripted narrative without a clear ending…
No. You’re a fruit cake.
Yep, she’s a fruitcake, I’m more of a cheeseburger…
