Do we need politics?

Seems to me that municipal officials of all stripes qualify as leaders, in one way or another. That would include people charged with overseeing the quality of drinking water, the placement of road signs, the cirriculum of schools, and so on . . . all those people are leaders.

“Supposed to” being the operative term.

In the Land of Lies, what is there that really what it is “supposed to” be?

It isn’t impossible for politics to not be corrupted with lies and deceit.
…but then neither is world peace and love.

You got it, ugly. Thanks for clarifying.

True, of course. Are you suggesting that it’s possible to live in a world without power hierarchies of any kind? I don’t think I’d want to live in a world where, say, the janitor has as much say in how to run the company as the founder and CEO.

Or am I misunderstanding the nature of your comment?

My body is the land of stress, sickness, and ultimately death. In the meantime, I’m in no hurry to get rid of it.

That was rude of me, by the way. I’m sorry about that.

We need leaders? See my post: Close Encounters of the Nightmarish Kind? (Society forum).

…and on, and on, and on, and on…and on… she’s been listening to too much Ravel’s Bolero. You’re turning me into an ostrich: I just want to go and stick my head in the sand and pretend you’re not happening — what am I saying, reading your posts IS sticking my head in the sand.
