I often skip posts of around 20 - 30 lines.
How many other people do?

It depends on the summary of content.
Reading is becoming so passe and no one takes the time anymore. I do. I hang on words, reread, and ponder. Everything today is instant gratification. Slow down. Read more… and turn off the darn TV - most of it is mindless drivel anyway… course, I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I adore mindless drivel too, but I repeat:

I agree with Bessy. The most important posts on here sometimes run into the 20-30 line region. Volume is necessary to express complex ideas. If you are here to think and learn, then spend some time with some of these posts, especially those posts made by our more ‘respected’ posters.
i can read the kind of long ones. but the ones that are more than my screen, i dont even have the attention span for.
If I’ve made the choice to involve myself in a thread, every word is important.

People that write the whole thing in 1 paragraph usually get skipped
I’ll read a long post if it’s well written, interesting or relevant. Or if it’s written by Future Man. 
What I never read is the long, rambling post that quotes and refutes another’s post, line by fucking line. Those are the most absurd and tedious threads known to man, and their creators should be shot in the head and dumped into shallow graves.

That’s philosophy. Personally I find that it makes it easier to see the conversation as a progressive dialogue rather than just a bunch of statements being thrown around…

If it is the original post that is long, I will just skip the topic entirely.
If it is a response that is long, I will read other responses to see if the long one is worth reading.
I think I am always concise, and there is no need to be long. A long post is reflective not of a complex idea, but of the writer not understanding his/her idea, and trying to vaguely explain it.
The only justification I see for a long post is trying to construct an argument, not an idea, through multiple steps. For example: God is omniscient, God is omnipotent, God is benevolent; but longer.

Would depend on the topic, wouldn’t it? Some posts like that are some of the best around, imo.
Books are longer than long posts…do you read books? just a ?, not a snide remark.
