Does religion and philosophy has an end?

I keep on hearing scholors and phd people said philosophy has given birth to zillions of branches… like ethics, pyschology, political science, metaphysics, asecestics, essentialism, and mind and body, and the question and argument of a God. This is all I have heard, in my senior seminar class, but how can zillions of branches be form when all I see are just few, and few specific topics in the text book?

Since I have banned my self in the philosophy forum, this and rant and mundane shall be my new home.

Now on to the topic, is there an end to all this?

My teacher a phd says we are approching the empirical methodl science to explains things, eventually leaving the philosophers without a job one day, because the questions has been solved.
