The reason I post this is because something clicked when I read in the rape thread:
“Rape is a form of emotional and physical torture.”
Isn’t being suffocated of sex the same thing due to birth defect, uglyness, poor social skills, etc?
Many ancient cultures took care of their tribes sexual needs and made sure they were no men “left out” because the knew it lead to aggression and violence, as communities got bigger into civilization, etc, this lead to prositution and the sex industry in general.
We might even that parents who bring children into this world have a responsibility towards them sexually should they not be able to have a sexual outlet and cannot afford prostitution, etc.
Thoughts?
It seems the majority of social problems stem from people abdicating responsibility and acknowledgement of deep fundamental truths about human nature.
I can appreciate the fact that philosophy has room for any question but I wonder why the board is crawling with so many statements trying to justify or excuse rape. Is it because it’s male dominated or is it some vague quirk?
It should be like renewing a car tiag or something. Every month a different group of people have to be on call to fuck unattractive people. No one wants to do it but the work is fairly distributed. Think jury duty. This could be hilarious. The bars would be packed with regular dudes who were having to drink away the pain of having sex with a fattie.
I don’t think society has a responsibility to those who are sexless since people are responsible for themelves however I do believe that rape is another form of evolutionism like all other kinds which only becomes inaccessible because of moral superstitions as civilization seems to be more of a representation of the weak and their plights anymore guided by parasitical laws.
I was not trying to JUSTIFY “rape” you obviously think that being ostracized from sexual fulfillment is not as bad as rape…
Which just goes to show you that you’re not thinking straight. True scientists and philosophers want to solve problems and see society for how it really is, not blind themselves with worshiping one sex or another.
Why do we have rapists? pedophiles, etc? So I think it is a very VALID question.

The fact of the matter is the sex industry speaks to hands ‘not being good enough’ and you all should KNOW that by yourselves. You can’t exactly get a blowjob from your hands or kiss your hands, or hug your hands, etc. Any of you with any sense should now it’s more then just that, there is some sense of intimacy involved even in ‘just sex’ between human beings.

You keep missing the big pile of evidence before your eyes: Prostitution. Until you address prostitution your argument is pointless. The real world please, not your fantasy land where masturbatory celibacy is the norm, did it work for the catholic priests? Does it work for parents or siblings who get involved in incestuous relationships? etc? Obviously people have a strong desire to be with other humans during the act whether you like it or not the evidence stands.
Human nature —> forgetting that you are a base animal, and lack of body hair, or internal dialogs are meaningless … you are still just a pink bottomed, mindless primate.
Now all that is required is that the global population get over itself.
It’s not about “Forgetting”, it’s about training your will against your base nature. We do it all the time, tonnes of people we have the urge to kill (which we percieve as anger or hate) but we subdue it because of society… sex and human relatioships is a bit different though because it’s the same as starving to death, the greatest urge after hunger, is sex.
Do you really think anyone in a small group of people (say 3-4) is not going to kill each other when they have a diagreement? The power is much more equalized between members… I mean just imagine Ayn rand in a group of socialists, she’d be a goner!
